I have a AEM meth kit and want to run a solenoid in the system. I dont know if anyone is familiarize with AEM Meth controller but has a boost-safe green wire for solenoid; its a switched 1.7amp ground and actives whenever the system is armed. And if a hookit directly to the battery and ground to any metal piece, it always open and get really hot. Anyone knows who to change 1.7amp to 0.7amp or any solution that could work?

U have the trigger wire from the controller that goes to the solonoid and a boost safe wire which is for a low level meth

 

There is only one wire that goes to the solenoid from the controller: boost-safe wire which is a 1.7amp switched ground that activates suposely whenever the system is armed and runs out of fluid or an error code is flashing (AEM instruction's) . I already hooked one side of the solenoid to this wire and nothing happens; doesn't open.

Coolingmist told me that this solenoid is 0.7amp ground and I dont know how the hell match this or what to do

 

Whn u run a, solonoid u need to run it with the arm wire for the meth solonoid itsekf. If u r using a solonoid made for a different system do not use it. U don't need a solo.oid other then the meth solonoid that sends it from the tanm to the intake. Use a checkvalve if u r worried of sucking fuel under vaccum.t

 

But if I don't run a solenoid, injection wouldn't be that accurate; spraying after even manifold pressure has decrease.

 

Ure system came with mandatory products. U don't need the shut off silonoid. Have the solonoid that'll run the meth and this solonoid is all u need. If it don't come one when it should by ure setting u have it hooked up wrong. The diagram I showed u in ure old post go by that if u have a aem meth kit. If its all put together u need to know whts wut.

 

Ure solonoid will get hot if its the wrong amperage. So use a checkvalve. After meth is cutoff because of decel or wutever. Won't. Have ny issues sucking it in or pushing meth out under certain boost levels.
