Question NOS Jet Sizes?!?!?!?!?

dumb question time, What are the jet sizes for a 50 shot with a single fogger nozzle? I looked at NOS's page, they list .018F, .018N for the 4cyl nozzle kits. But that doesn't seem right. I think that those numbers may be for a direct port setup.

Who out there is running a baby hit of spray, and what jet sizes are you using. I am used to big bottle enhancements and do not have the pill sizes anywhere for a shot less than 200... HELP!

No, the vdub is my best friends car... we normally go to the track and see who is king for the day... It is a quick little car for what it is though and the torque is comparable. We built a rabbit truck that is a total basket case. It was a real disappointment for the money invested... wrong tranny, geared way too low for anything other than a cool burnout in 2nd gear.

18 fuel and 31 n2o is a 50shot for NX systems. the jet sizes are gonna be the same across brands as the numbers are the actual size in thousandths of an inch, indicating how large the opening is.

typically yes, but keep in mind different kits design their jets around different pressure levels ( 900psi vs 1000psi ), so it's a good idea to check with the brand name that you have. N.O.S. should have it on their site somewhere in a manual you can download anyway, otherwise most muscle car shops have a chart for them and NX at least since they are very popular.

I found a jet size calculator...
http://www.robietherobot.com/NitrousJetCalculator.htm

This is a 40psi of fuel and 900 psi of bottle pressure.

Results

The Fuel jet size should be 0.018" or 0.446mm

A Nitrous jet size of .031" or 0.7874mm should produce:
43.40 HP with 1 port(s)

Actual HP to the wheels: 36.89 HP

I thought stock LSJ fuel pressure was 58-62 psi at the rail? sorry man, just trying to get this straight dont want to end up with a 100 shot lol...

62 psi

The Fuel jet size should be 0.015" or 0.390mm

A Nitrous jet size of .031" or 0.7874mm should produce:
43.40 HP with 1 port(s)

Actual HP to the wheels: 36.89 HP

The best way would be to measure the fuel pressure at the rail to double check. I am not sure what the actual pressure is. by using 40psi as a base, the fuel jet will be larger (fatter) and the shot will be somewhat safer. Leaning out = BOOM!
