rpm widow switch

whats the most reliable switch to use on the cobal?. i've heard zex switchs are deadly. what about the others? i'd prefer something with gear lockout. if that's whats killing our cars then point me in the right direction of a safer option.

b.t.w. this is the kit i'm ordering Edelbrock

I would get the FJO Mini progressive nitrous controller.

It is TPS and RPM with a 1st gear lock up, plus it a progressive

vinny (schizzo) or (slowion) uses the msd electronic window switch and has no problems with his NX kit.

Any Digital is better than screwing with pills. Not to take away from SS.net but the LS1 guys have a Metric Ass Ton of info on Nitrous.

Quick list of part to make sure you have.

WOT switch (sure it comes with the kit)
Fuel cut off switch (cuts power to fuel 'noid if N2O preasure drops to low)
A/F monitor(probly most important)
Gauges
and a window switch set above 3000rpm.

I am sure there is other stuff that will help, but with out one of the above you are risking your motor.

I installed the Holley DBW window switch on my dads truck, pretty simple to do and really nice to use. Not cheap though.

just an FYI, that Dynotune window switch is like the exact same thing as the Zex with a diff. logo on it so if you're scared of a Zex switch I wouldn't touch that either.

I personally have had 0 problems with my Zex window switch for close to a year now...

for me its pretty hard to floor it in 1st with traction so im thinking i can handle the msd and just keep a mental reminder that it will spray at WOT. I dont plan on going to the track anways without at least drag radials anyways so I might be useful. but the way things are going with money and everything I probably will be waiting till next year to finish the rest of the mods and by that time I will start buying motor internals and working on that

just set the activation point back further and you wont need to lockout first gear. I've been thinking about moving my activation point from 3200 to around 3600 or so...by that time you should already be moving and shouldn't have any major traction problems. Plus when you shift in the remaining gears you're already at 4K+ anyway.

I'm gonna try that and see how it works, last time i was at the track activating at 3200 it was constant wheelspin for 1 and a 1/2 gears
