Flowmaster vs magnaflow

i was watching youtube and a guy had his stage 2 cobalt on a dyno and he did a run with the stock muffler then switched out the stock muffler with a flowmaster super 44 muffler nothing else just the muffler and he got a gain of 11 hp this has to be bullshit doesnt it? i want to get a different muffler not a whole exhaust system and i was leaning twards magnaflow until i saw that clip what do you guys think i only have like a hundred bucks or so to spend and i dont want a muffler delete
THANKS!!

flowmaster mufflers are chambered, dont sound that good on 4 bangers. Magnaflows are straight through mufflers, flow much better then the flowmasters and sound good on our cars.

Also nobody gains 11hp from a muffler lol

this is why you can't put much stock in dyno's in terms of measuring hp gains, been saying it for years. the dyno very possibly read 11 hp higher. Depending on your power levels, it's very possible to see a difference of 11hp without changing anything.

that being said, no, you will not gain 11hp from a muffler whether or not the dyno says you did.

first off i want to say that the airforce sucks and the marines rock, oohrah. second off there is a few good sounding flowmaster cobalts that sound good. i have a super 40 with the 12" long 3" to 3.5" tip. the tip only sticks out as far as the stock one is it sounds better then this guys on base here with just the magnaflow. we both have no cat no res and 3" piping. his sound way more raspy then mine. i only rasp a lil at 2k rpm. he rasps alot at 2k and 3k and under boost. i personally would pick flowmaster any day of the week
