I have not called any shops about install but I think im gonna just try to do it myself and then just have my dealer flash my computer to the Stage 2 set-up.
As for first mod...I think you should get exhaust cuz its simple and easy to install.

deal... sounds like i'm running intake and exhaust is first on the list... will that boost the performance noticably as well?? besides turning heads as people hear her go by... where is the best place to pick those up... GMP has the cai and the cat dont they? trying to keep it under warranty hehe. that will be easier on the cash flow as well (starting with those two and not the stg2 - that can come this summer...)

GM don't have a CAI for SS/SC, I believe and definitely don't have a "performance" CAT... they do have the CAT-back exhausts though...
oh yea, another cheap one is the Ingalls Stiffy... helps keeps tires on the road when you're trying to hear that new SC whine and exhaust, but I wouldn't anything about driving fast or anything - or uprades...

got the K&N Typhoon through local AutoZone, but it usually isn't in stock - perhaps check with some of the Vendors and see what they offer...

Tyg.. i'd go with either INGEN or the K&N typhoon CAI, both can be ordered through cobalt addiction (there's a vendor link on the home page of the css.net site)
(i'm partial to INGEN myself )
also with exhaust... gmpp is awesome and pretty much everyone here on this thread has it in either the touring or the performance. order that through crate engine depot (if they have it in stock, you'll get it within 2-3 days)
i think the performance is still on sale (380, then tip 50 and shipping 30ish)
and thanks for staying stock for just a weee bit longer so i can have the chance to pay you back from last weekend

Chevgirl, check the Twin Cities meet last page.
It was a good turnout. Some people showed, then left after 10 minutes, but most of us stayed. Had some food and went cruising. Lost people here and there, but all met back up at northtown (the ones that were still with the group). I left after that, as I had previous engagements to handle. According to hoffa though, he didn't drive home til 3 am, and I left at 7:30pm, so they hung out for a while.
Someone else fill in the details as I was not there after 7:30. Thanks

Yeah, it was sweet, because that new spot we got is private property the cops cant do anything, we have permission from the owner to be there, so that works out. We do that cruise every weekend, so we all should get together and do it agian, Hoffa you got my number if you want to get together and do it again, we are always out every weekend, so if anyone wants to cruise with us, come out to university and meet up.

^^^ yeah seriously... snow this week... got to be kidding.
Question: moding the CAI... Installing non-gmpp parts... does that kill the warranty... cause if i'm going to kill the warranty i guess it's somthing that i have to do, but, ya... dang addictions... i'm SURE its not going to stop with just 3 mods...
vtec and chevgirl: meet was awesome and yeah, hoff and i stuck around till REALLY late with mazda's dodge's lexus, nissans... it was pretty sweet not gonna lie.
hoff: yeah yeah whatever. it's not the ride it the rider... (ok ok so the ride has something to do with it...but still.) btw - you still need that cell phone cover... text me your address i think i have it, but the text will remind me while i'm at home. :
to all: anyone know of a new, red ss/sc that would be up north of elk river... saw him coming south on 169 north of ER two days in a row now... we both make eye contact with each other every time (all 2 so far )

tyg - If you're talking about taking it in to the dealership after you install a non-GMP part, they have to prove that it was the cause of the problem (ie Intake messing up the MAF Sensor; MAF Sensor cannot go bad with an exhaust, as the exhaust comes after {way after} the MAF Sensor. See what I'm saying?)
