My dad has 30% on his black LT Balt and it looks good. 30% is a good % to tint unless you want to be really noticed! lol.

Yeah, after my rims, I'm probably putting some Eibach Sporties on to help the look of the balt out! As well as handling, lol!

Coil-overs are pricey. I'm thinking about springs, I think I'll wait to see them in person on some of your cars before I get em.

Has anybody heard from Fayzer lately? He just kind of dissappeared..

I picked my sportlines up from another member off the site - for those of you looking for some springs, keep an eye out on the Parts classifieds - there's some pretty good deals once in a while... I'm looking for some nice rims too, but the biggest problem is I can't find anyone to put tires on an 18" rim around here. (Well, I did, but they chipped one of my rims, but I should've known better) There's a nice set of 20's on here but no tires, but I like the look of the Casino's...

you're gonna pay out the ass for 20" tires. Any clue how much those 20's weigh? ...or do you even give a crap?

I like the look of 20's on the balt but the largest ill ever go is 19's, As for springs im torn between the SSC and the Sportlines. The SSC are like $100 less then the Sportlines and still give it almost the same look.

Fayzer has dissappeared, I've messaged him on myspace many times and never heard anything back. Its possible that he bought a Jeep and Bike and got rid of the balt but im not 100% sure on that.

He could at least message us back or something. Oh well, maybe he moved on. Eibachs are the best (from what people have said on here) Some people have Tenzo's but I'll fork out the extra $$$ for eibachs

yea - I won't be getting any 20's, but I do like how they look... if I were to get some new wheels, it'd be a rim/tire package deal. I'm not to worried about weight as I'm not gonna be going to any tracks anytime soon, but the wheels better look friggin sweet - ya know?!

Biggest I'd go would probably be 19" as well - but for now, I'll stick with the stockers - perhaps paint them as they've had chips since I've gotten the balt

I am contemplating some tint too... a mirrored-look would be nice with the silver

Did the Sportline lower the car at all ? Do you think there would be any clearance problems with , say, 235's ? Thanks

You know it might have been, I was driving all over hell this weekend so I don't really remember too well. I have super dark windows, no badges except chevy symbols, and lowered if that helps.

It lowered the car very noticibly, the profile is much better. I don't know why its not this height straight from the factory as I think its way too high stock.

What are stock tires? 215? I would assume there would be plenty of room as I'm not strapped what so ever, but don't take my word for it.

Hey Vtech, when did you get your Stage II? And is your exhaust broke in yet? We should run each other some day.

does anyone have the correct tools to be able to do these at home?? i'm looking into getting sportlines as well but i would like to shy away from dropping even more money to have them installed somewhere.

doin it at someone's house with a few people and some brew sounds like more fun anyways

mod party anyone????

(ok... that last one might have sounded a little fruity... i apologize )

yea shops around here are charging anywhere from 400 to 480 around here for install and balancing its a big rip off IMO.. get the rite tools and rent a spring compressor from checker and return it within 48 hours and its free of charge and all u have to do after is just pay about 65$ to get the fronts aligned

Hoffa - I got a 2-car garage! Can't a person rent a spring compressor at AutoZone or something? Money saved on self-install = more beer...

Getting rid of "monster truck" height on Cobalt = priceless

(^^sorry had to say it...)

My stage 2 has been in since november and the exhaust is definitely broken in now. LOL I was getting worried for a tick there cuz it was vibrating my whole friggen car for a couple days after the install.

I'll run ya some time. I raced an M3 the other day from 60 to 100 and we were nose and nose the whole way, the second race i got on the gas a bit early and held a half car the whole time. Our cars just LOVE this cold air.

We installed my friends springs last summer and it took us like 6hour to do just 1 car. It takes forever to compress and then uncompress the each spring. So I think the party would have to start early in the day, haha.
