I just got an Email back from Tom (he runs the tour), he's expecting a large group again for this next tour (Sunday Aug 5th) so were gonna have to try to keep the speeds down a bit.
This is part of the email he sent out.
To reduce tailgating and passing, cars will line up in order of anticipated driver enthusiasm, according to their self-chosen spot on the Official Scale of Driving Effort. The most motivated drivers will be in front. 6/10ths MAXIMUM!
The Official Scale of Driving Effort
0/10 - Up on blocks or, more charitably, a
crouching tiger in the garage
1/10 - Get out and push (damn Lucas!)
2/10 - Grandma going to church on Sunday
3/10 - Just out for a leisurely jaunt
4/10 - Rev it up a little on the straight-aways
5/10 - Honey, slow down! You'll wake the baby!
6/10 - Happy Speed
7/10 - Promise you wont tell anybody?
8/10 - Zoom Zoom Zoom
9/10 - Fourth in class at Elkhart Lake
10/10 - Wide open 'til you see God, then BRAKE!
definitely thinking about going on this! I missed out last year and tried to meet up with em in Ftn City, but was too early and then too late (went driving on back roads looking for them)
The BIGGEST plus - got that weekend off... well, for now... whattya say? Wanna go? Probably be more fun my backroad country bumpking tour that we initially planned...
Poolboyz - send me a PM w/details...

Most of us R meeting in the Twin Cites and driving down to Stockholm in a big group.
I'd say the best meeting point for you would be 9:15 AM at Bogus Creek Cafe and Bakery in Stockholm, Wisconsin.
Then you could just end your day in Fountain City around 1pm if you wanted to still have a few hours in the day to spend doing other ****.
Bring a 2-way radio if you have one.

By 1pm or so most of us have been out driving for 5hours already and still have a 2hour drive back to the Twin Cities. Some people will continue after lunch (Fountain City) but most will probably head back.
By 2pm on the last Road Tour my back was already starting to get sore and I was wore out so It headed back. I took me a little under 2hours to get back from the lunch location to the Twin Cities.

START IN STOCKHOLM IF YOU CAN, IM NOT SURE HOW MANY MILES R PUT ON AFTER LUNCH.
I think Im gonna be headin back up to the TC after lunch (2:30-3ish)
*****Update*****
Just a quick update on the Smiley Face Tour coming up this Sunday.
The third meeting option, lunch at Hansen's Hold-Up near Fountain City,
has been changed from 1:30 to 2:30 because the route has been modified
to avoid recent Sealcoat (tar and pea gravel) applications.
Drivers starting the tour in Stockholm will have two options:
1. The full route which totals 196 miles with the Nurburgring quality
stretches on County F, D, TT, Q, Wolfe Road, and Evanger Road (among
others), and the fabulous roller-coaster hillcrest on Wozney Bautch!
2. Taking the short cut reduces the tour to 139 miles but will still
take you on lots of great roads.
Of course drivers can peel off at any point if they need to.
