CED is coming up in June. Some of these guys meet up at Hwy occasionally but they aren't accepting new members in the gang. It's a very exclusive society. Have to work your way in with nude gf pics or somethin........

you're not this mean when i'm behind ya

everything is in! i just need to fill the h/e system and top off the radiator before i start it up to see if everything is sealed properly.

only a couple of minor things to do... i have to put in my boost gauge and figure out what to do with the mess of wires that i have made in my bay

if i get my tune sent to me, i'll be up and running (hopefully) by tomorrow night.

So why an XD40 over a XD9mm or XD357?

Funny you say that. 9mm doesn't have stopping power and if you get a 40 cal u can swap barrels and shoot a 357sig which happens to have the same stopping power as a 357mag. Considering the 357sig is just a necked down s&w 40. Bang stands for what I do to jordans mom. All night long.

I am sorry but Old School was not as good as it was hyped up to be. I was pretty disappointed.

I keep hearing the term "Stopping Power" used when talking about these hand guns. I am looking for something a long the lines of home protection so I am not if stopping power is that important.

I am torn between the XD9mm and the XD357. Any additional input is greatly appreciated.

Stopping power is pretty important imo. 9mm does have enough to drop a man in one shot even if its a well placed shot. Hence the reason why just about every police department had dropped the 9mm for the s&w 40. U want a wicked hot round get the 357 sig. U want the power and tons of choices in ammo get the 40s&w. When u come down to mke next ill let you throw a few rounds out of mine.

9mm is all you need if its for home protection. Unless your home gets invaded by silverbacks.

I have only shot one hand gun in my life and it was a 357 revolver.

What do you mean by "wicked hot"? I am looking for gun control for multiple rounds and accuracy.

What about WI deer hunting laws?

Handguns:
• To be legal for deer, handguns must use center-fire cartridges of .22 caliber or
larger and have a 5˝ inch minimum barrel, measured from the firing pin to the
muzzle with the action closed.

So the XD40 with 5" barrel would be too short?

No you can't hunt with it unless you purchased an aftermarket barrel. They do make them. The cost is pretty fair. The 357sig is a hot round because its basically a 357mag being shot from a polymer.

Intresting link regarding the 357sig vs 45 acp
http://intrencik.com/357sig.htm

But if you are going to use it for hunting or defense ur better off getting a 357mag revolver. If that's the case look at the ruger gp100. http://pictures.auctionarms.com/6306183507/acfb7f.jpg

Ill be ready then! Lol. Not to down play the 9mm it has its high points. Its a great round for women to shoot cause the recoil is slim to nill. There is a ton of ammo choices out there counsidering its a nato round. But it lacks the bullet grainweight and muzzle speed needed to drop a man in one shot to the center mass. I really was debating on getting a 9mm xd but with 40s&w ammo being just as cheap and ammo choices being just as plentiful, plus it being a larger round. It pretty much made up my mind. 180 grain hollow points bark matches the bite.

Where would I find an aftermarket barrel for a XD 357sig?

How much do they cost?

I am not really into revolvers. They have proven the test of time but if Zombies attack my house I would not want to have to reload every 6 rounds.

I could justify spending a little more money on a gun if I were going to use it for Home Protection and deer hunting.
