Calling all Cobalts on L.I.
and the same thing happened to my neighboor with his 2013 wrx sti sedan..he only had like 7k miles in it with just catback and cobb access port tuning and blew the rings on the pistons
fucked up thing was I wasn't even driving the car hard, light accel in 5th from 75-80mph and it bucked and broke. I think it's just in the valve train, but who knows what else it took out in the process. Wasn't smoking or anything
Dyno Day @ NRG Tech --- made me cry lol

ummm run me and youll see those numbers were fine haha. because how were ants numbers accurate and mines and sandros? i mean yea there lower numbers than expected but hell the car runs nice and strong. what we need is to go to the track and see your trap speeds.
then youll know ur power range for sure...if your trapping between 105-110mph ur deff between 260whp-290whp

ur numbers were pretty accurate ... there is a guy who did the same #'s as me on pump gas there is no way in hell.
ants #'s were lower than expected as well.
Sandro's #'s were only 276 thats just as low as mine ... all the cobalts were low as **** ... look at the dyno thread ull see the pump gas #'s and E85 #'s ... we both put dwn pump gas #'s
and 260-290 is the difference between 17* and 25* of timing thats a huge amount
let me know wen u wana come out here ... we can run when ever
well that is actually kind of true now that you kinda compared 93 #s with E85..i stay forgetting that and just think about pulley and injectors lol
we need to re run again and see..
this deff proves me wrong..
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/dyno...6-6whp-307798/
so id say the dyno is deff wrong and probably not well calibrated? fawk..

yeah and i can see what kind of timing im running w. 0 kr.
so either sandro and my cars are both F'ed up lol
OR
the dyno sucks a fatty lmao
(im leaning toward the 2nd option)

I think that dyno was definitely a bit stiff for a dynojet... I wouldn't be surprised if all cars there would be 10-20whp higher on another dyno.
I'm basing this off my old pump gas setup (I put down 260whp on that setup)... My car seriously hauls ass compared to that setup
Still nice to see the power curves.... All lsjs had a nice ass powerband throughout all rpms. Good time as well.

yea there is no way all u gained was 16 whp lol i can see us all pushing another 15whp - 20
but yea our curves were nice and smooth and consistent which i guess is what really counts
don't dwell on the numbers. curve's are good car is faster, that's all that matters. and yes they probably didn't put int he proper vehicle weight, we had one dyno day there were a modded cobalt only put down 205/195 lol and made 262whp the next day on another shops dyno.
take it to the track and then you'll know for sure

yeah truth right there, I was on a dyno with my turbo cobalt and it put down 274 whp with a gt3076 and full boltons at 25 psi. bone stock with stock k04 and all it put down 282 whp on the same dyno a month earlier. The calibration is definitely off. the important thing is the tvs car put down 110 whp more than the m62 car and soon to be 150+ whp more on meth
