A couple of us had a good time last night (1/4 mile)

In total there were about 5 cobalt's at Raceway Park last night and 4 of us were running. I thought I'd just share my best 1/4 mile time for the others. (Take in mind I have an automatic 2.4)

R/T .261
60' 2.342
330 6.609
1/8 10.087
MPH 71.10
1000 13.120
1.4 15.731
MPH 86.16

We got about 4 runs in (that's all we felt like doing) and called it quits for the night with the above being the best

Nothing like seeing one of the ladies at the track. Nice R/T. Mine are way worse.

I know I had a good time. My friend Rob went for the first time. Ran two 15.1's than a 14.8 stock. I belive his 60ft times were around 2.3. Here's a picture of his 14.8 second run launch:

Darksun!!!! So close to 13's!!! He ran 2 14 flat passes. That sucks man. When it gets warmer out you should be able to get better times. I belive he also had a 2.3 60 ft time.

Yeah that was my last run 14.8. I never got below a 2.4 60 ft. I topped out at like 97 on that run. My reaction time was like .668. The crx's was like .1 and had like a 2.0 60ft. He had some nice slicks haha. I figure thats not too bad for my first time EVER racing on a track haha

That's the only realy good pic I have of your car. I have others but they are kinda dark. I'm trying to make them lighter. I'll have them up tomorrow on my PhotoBucket account and then send them in a PM to you or in an email. I belive I have 3 more pics of your car but it's of you staging.

You had a 2.3 60ft time right cobalt443? Everyone had like 2.3's or higher. When it gets warmer out those 60's will drop and we will all see much better times. And hopefully I'll have either a helmet of my own or something else lol so I can run.

well you can rent a helmet for $3....yea my best 1/4 mile time sported a 2.3 60' but I was pulling better 60' times than most of the ss s/c's there......lol.....i think my best was a low 2.2..i'll have to double check on that

LOL i'm 17 though They checked my friends age when he rented his helmet. Either get a fake id saying i'm 18, get my own helmet, or wait until September .

you can have a friend rent it for you....i used to do it for people all the time....they don't check who's actually going to be wearing the helmet....they just take the license of the person actually renting it and give back the license when it's returned. Rt. 18 flea market has some nice helmets for like $60

Well next time I go I'll try that. I should be trying for high 13's as well since I'm going to have my 3 inch pulley put on sometime this weeks and i'm trying to order the TOG header with a custom made gasket from Chevypowered.

good stuff.....have you ever run at a track before?...if not it might be tough at first to get it into what you're expecting...hopefully you'll get more than three runs in that night. on friday a lot of the guys were getting in 4 - 5 runs. I can have as many as i want but we called it quits at 4.....it's a shame though because my times were getting better and better with every run

depending on how you were racing i think you can get better times than that with launching it in "L" while tq braking to about 1800rpm then letting it shift thru the 1st 2 gears in "L" and at redline or a little after since we still make power in redline shift into "I" to finish the race i think a 15.4 would be possible for you

I've done everything so far.....expecially since we get unlimited runs but never heated up the tires...so spun a little off the line but not much....i had over a half tank that night also

yes that's the case with the cobalt but not ALL tires....the BF's on the GTO HAVE to be heated up....we actually tested them cold as opposed to warm and it meant a matter of over a half a second...so i wouldn't always say that

You have to wear a helmet? In Arizona you don't need one until you hit 13.90 or faster.
