i seen a silver ss sc yesterday on 84 west getting out of Manchester... anyone here?? it was fun i got excited wen i seen another fellow cobalt owner and did a little fly by and slowed down, he got next to me said hi down shifted and punched it so i down shifted also and passed him. just a friendly lil run nothin serious it was a good time.

did it have a cf hood? and black and white rims. if so then thats my buddy.

Anyone have a rear caliper compression tool I can borrow? Just ordered new pads and rotors.

you can rent one from autozone or advanced auto. Its like 75 bucks, when you return it you get your 75 bucks back...

The rears just need to be pressed in right? I think I used a c-clamp for mine...

Just take your old pads, and place them on the caliper and c-clamp em' I used channel lock pliers and got mine to go.

I read on here someplace they were the twist in and press style. But yours were just regular press in?

My buddy Jimmy can do it, he worked at Total Induction in South Windsor. His rates are ridiculously good. PM me if you are interested

He has worked on my Camaro and my Cobalt

I don't think so as the SS cars were 5 lug and most other cobalts/ions are 4 lug. SSBC makes a rear conversion kit though.

As for a clutch, My family has a mechanic we go to and have been for years if you feel like a trip down to Shelton. His rates have always seemed fair and my friends have gotten small discounts there for saying I'd referenced them. PM me for info.

ya i heard about the SSBC conversion kit but then I also heard it is $1000+ which is a little more then I would wanna spend

Percison Tune?

been going there since they opened up, owner of that shop is a family friend if thats the place you were talking about

they actually just did my clutch for me.
