Cobalt's, G5's HHR's and Ions' are on what GM calls the Delta Platform. Same basic chasis, just different bodies. Kind of like the F bodies (camaro, firebird), and J bodies (Cavalier, Sunbird, Sunfire, ect). The Delta Platform actually replaced the J bodies I believe.

Kyle's a "delta folk" also.... as he so eloquently put it.... lol

Ooo, I knew about the GM delta platform but we were talking about metal bands and concerts so when he said delta folk I thought it was in referance to a metal band/ metal concert fans

Hey guys. My Ion tossed me a code that has thrown me for a loop. A search has only shown the code to pop up in one other topic (on a 2006 SS/NA) and went unresolved.
The code is B2AAA

I am driving my cobalt to ocean city new jersey tomorrow. It takes 4-5 hours depending on traffic. It's about 250 miles. I have the fully loaded LT. I'm going to fill up and see what she does for fuel mileage. Hoping above 37mpg. Once I get her going on cruise controll I will reset the average mpg and see. Recently my car told me 27.8mpg in town but when I did the math at the pump it was 27.2 still that's pretty close. Of course I have to clean the Balt up nice before I leave lol.

Cruise controll is 100% more efficient. Your foot can't stay still and you end up feathering the throttle leading to RPM increase and decrease resulting in worse fuel economy. When your cruise controll revs up your motor it's because you are using it incorrectly. Cruise controll is design for flat highways. Not hills and in town driving.

On another note buy my car lol same color!

You just proved my point. Cruise control is only good on flat areas and even highways arent completely flat surfaces all the time.

I am just saying that up here where we live cruise control most of the time isnt more fuel efficient because its not flat and their is usually traffic on the highway. if this was texas where there are wide open major roads and a lot of flat land then cruise control away

I got only 31.1 mpg. Horrible traffic to jersey no one knows how to drive. Ppl just hanging out in the passing lane and breaking for no reason. Junk, cruise didn't get used once.
