Awesome. When I sell this DiabloSport Predator I'll have some cash for you, and a thong.

Oy.... looks like everyone is changing up their rides?!

The G8 was deemed a total loss. So, got paid off from that. Then signed for a used 2006 BMW 330xi last week. Took delivery Tuesday night. Yesterday 4 codes... most likely for X-Drive and Dynamic Stability Control *sigh* thanks dealership. Bringing it back up there after work today..... ugh....

I wrote two emails to the sales, service and general manager... one when the lights came on, and then one this morning stating what I want done. I doubt they'll fill out these forms I've made...

Hi Paul

I tried calling the dealership today, but unfortunately you were out.

I need some issues resolved as soon as possible.

There were three warning lights illuminated on the dash when I took delivery of the vehicle last night as well as a message that pops up every 30 seconds. I had hoped these would go off after driving home but they did not (approx 20 miles). This is usually the case with ABS repairs - mileage is needed for the computer to reset. Also, the cruise control does not work, as well as the down-hill assist.

However, I have tried my OBD2 scan tool, but cannot diagnose these issues. And reading the owners manual, this combination of lights means:

"The driving stability control systems, including ABS, xDrive and the Flat Tire Monitor, have failed....Have the system checked immediately."

Needless to say at this point I am very disappointed and frustrated. Not only have I been very agreeable throughout this buying process, but I went out of my way to sign for the vehicle ahead of schedule per your request. Then I was delayed two times from taking delivery of the vehicle for unsuccessful repairs, which still remain an issue.

And also our business has not been completed due to registration issues, using a dealer plate, instead of the vehicle being registered in my name.

I understand that the warranty agreement is for your shop to complete all repairs, but at this time I can honestly say I do not have confidence in your service department. I would prefer you to bring the vehicle to a BMW dealer for diagnosis and repair, which I was under the impression had already happened.

I will also need you to investigate the following:

All Recalls Completed?
2006 BMW 3-Series Recalls & Problems - Motor Trend Magazine

Possible Reasons for Warning Lights:
Transfer Case Servo PART # 27-10-7-546-671
Transfer Case Controller
VTG actuator / Set Positioning Motor

Owners Manual is attached below. See page 150, and photo attached.

Please call me as soon as possible to discuss moving forward and getting these issues resolved.

Thank you

Then

Good morning

I need written or verbal confirmation that these two documents have been received, and will be completed along with the shop receipt, prior to picking up the vehicle.

1st Document “2006 330xi – Maintenance Report.xls” has two entries dated 7-29-2009, and 08-31-2013 stating “vehicle serviced” – these dealerships need to be called and asked what was performed, and results recorded on the document.

There are also notes on the last page stating what maintenance should have been performed by the mileage currently on the vehicle. This needs to be verified and recorded.

2nd Document “2006 BMW 330xi – Maintenance Checklist.doc” lists possible reasons for the warning lights. There are links to the owners manual, and various discussion boards talking about this particular issue.

Items listed need to be investigated and their results recorded.

This document also summarizes all the possible recalls on the vehicle that need to be verified as completed.

These documents can be completed in writing, scanned and emailed to me. Or they can be completed as-is in Microsoft Office format. I will review these prior to picking up the vehicle.

Thank you
