For anybody that doesn't know, Ocean City is BEAUTIFUL! They have a huge boardwalk w/ Arcades & the hotels, & the awesome beach w/ the big waves. You can rent bikes/scooters/golf carts in the morning & ride them up & down the boardwalk. It's COOL! I am going to be there in July vacationing w/ the family & more family. I would like to try to make it earlier... So, I MIGHT go, i'll see what I can do. This would be fun to attend!

Would we be staying on the beach??? I sure hope so!

Something I was thinking: I went down there one year with a bunch of the guys (senior week type deal) and I had a beater back then so I didn't car what happened to it, but I remember getting a coating of ocean mist on my car.

Any opinions on this? Is it as bad as I remember? Will it cause paint damage? Not to mention, she's gotta be presentable the whole weekend

the salt water can cause rust over time. but just wash the car when you get down there and your fine.. and then just wash it when you get home. no biggie..

and yeah ocean city is the 2nd largest boardwalk on the east coast. its great i love renting the scooters lol they go 45 mph lol and the speed limit is 35 but scooters have the right away lol so you can have lots of fun!.. and as far as the beach goes.. i will be staying on the beach.. but maybe not.. if i can get a few people.. 2 years ago during senior week we rented a house that was 2 stories. huge house.. 10 of us got it paid 200 each for the week.. it was real nice and on 3rd street. so let me know we can figure something out.. id like to do this after july 7th which is my 21st birthday.

Ocean City is awesome, I'll bring my Cobalt down if the Mustang is still sitting. But if I get the 'Stang running in time it should make for some nice burnouts.

Eh, its alright. OC is cool if you've never been to Myrtle. But once you go to Myrtle, you never wanna go back to OC, lol.

Myrtle > OC.

My rents live in SC, so naturally I love Myrtle anyways.

GT-R? As in Skyline GT-R? If so, R32, R33, R34? There was a **** ton of Skylines at this past years Dulles HIN. I remember just a few years back when they were damn rare, even at shows. Motorex fell through, and since then, I swear for some reason theres even MORE Skylines roaming my area, lol. Theres a few out here in the Fairfax/Manassas area. Japan to Cali, then Cali to the east coast......crazy **** to get those cars over this way.

You would actually be a bit surprised just how many loopholes you can exploit to get those in the country. I know I personally am going to attempt to get an R33 sometime after college. The Canadians can get the R33s starting august '08, and from there I can just drive it into the US provided I have swapped the headlights, taillights, and speedometer.

We're not talking about the new $70,000 GT-R smart guy. We're talking about the older Skylines. Maybe you didn't know, but Skylines have been around since the early '70s. The "GT-R" badge (which is the AWD version of the GT-S) was introduced on the R32 generation and then dropped at the end of the R34 generation. Then for a few years, Japan's Skyline has been our Infinity G35. Now they've dropped the "Skyline" name and are just going with "GT-R".

I like how if you go to page 3 of this thread and scroll down, you'll see I typed "16. WhiteSSBalt", and yet we're up to like 18 now and my name still isn't on the list.

yeah, like late '60s. I round up. You don't have to explain to me anything about Japanese cars. Im personal friends with PTuning, Pro Motion Tuning, Mach V Motorsports and VIP Garage, and before the SS I had a JDM'd out RX-7. I used to be a JDM nutjob, and i've turned more wrenches on Japanese goodness than I ever have anything american. But the Cobalt just drew me in I guess.
