Hptuner in South Jersey?

Anyone close to Atlantic City, NJ with Hptuners. Also does anyone have any experiences to share about Tune Time Performance in NJ? I would like to get dynoed there.

i have heard they have a nice, clean shop. Never been there though.

As far as just getting time on the dyno there, i dont see any issues.

For tuning though, i would find a reputable tuner on here for that.

The guy who tunes me isnt taking on any new business lol.

If you want to travel to CT i can recommend someone. Or you can buy HP tuners and get remotely tuned by any of the good tuners on here. Either way let me know

so you bought the car with a tune on it ?

if its HPT then you either need:

1) to find the person who originally tuned it cuz they have your credits on their HPT device.

or

2) Pay for someone to tune you.

what are you looking to do ? why do you need another tune ?

Tune Time Performance...... from what i remember is a good shop. many years ago i would hold Cobalt dyno days there because at the time they were the only shop within a 2-3 hour drive that had experience with Cobalts. hopefully more NJ people can chime in about them. if you're looking for a good, safe tune, i'm sure they could knock it out. iirc the owner/tuner is Matt.

Answers to

1) I guess it would be hard to find whoever has said credits.

2)dont really mind paying. Im looking to retune because I have owned the car for over a year and bought many parrs for it that I haven't installed yet because of the current tune. All it has is a dejon sri and zzp catless dp. I bought upper cp, forge bpv, and zzp fmic. And just last week my valve dropped so I am soon to order zzp 82# valves and maybe the stage 1 cams so I really would like to get retuned for all of that. All the parts I bought are just sitting in my parents garage.

You say at that time they were the only shop. Do you know any other reputable shops that are around in south Jersey? I know ttp moved so I would have to drive a little further

my bad i should've been more clear..... at the time (5-6 years ago) TTP was the closest reputable shop to me... Delaware. i was unaware that they moved, that's the only shop in NJ i've heard of BUT there is a shop in New Castle, Delaware that over the past few years have gained a decent amount of experience with Cobalts. Race Proven Motorsports, check them out, it could be an option for you. i knew about them back then but it seemed that they only specialized in GM muscle, but since then they've dipped into some Mopar vehicles & newer Mustangs, along with doing a bunch of local Cobalts.

Good to hear. They're not members on here. Still wish I could get a member to tune it considering they would probably know a lot more about LNF tuning. Seems like TTP deals more with LS motors than i4.

The thing with a lot of these "hp tuner" shops is they deal with ls motors not our ecotecs.

To this day i have never heard of a shop that specializes in cobalts any where near the tri state area.

Going from my own experience i would invest in hp tuners and then have a member tune you i can give you some recommendations.

This way you can get re tuned on your time and mod when you want. Its sooo much easier than searching for someone to tune you locally.

Anyway back to my previous post, im only looking for around 400 whp when im done modding. I plan on upgrading to a zfr. My last question is should I upgrade my valves since I need new ones or just stick with oem ones? Oem is strong enough for a zfr on 93 right?

Stock valves are just fine, however I would upgrade valve springs and retainers to utilize the zfr's power band a little better.

Which valve springs and retainers would u go with. I need to order them this week. The zzp's or supertechs? 75, 78, 82, or 94#'s. Please post links if possible. Btw I pm'd you a few days ago.
