I'm Back in a cobalt

so some of you who have been here since the beginning will remember me, most of you probably won't. I was one of the first people to have a cobalt ss in mass. we used to do meets out on cape cod at adventure isle. i had the 05 stage 3 rally yellow cobalt. it the car that was in modified mag, superstreet and domestic driver back in the day. anyways i had to part the car out and sell it to go back to school. everyone who knows me knows i didn't want to do it, but had to. anyways 7 years later i decided to look at cobalts again. i found one in ashland, ma. an 05, rally yellow. as soon as i saw the car i knew something was weird about it, once i sat i the car i knew why. it has two holes in the center console, thats were i put my nitrous buttons, i popped the hood and trunk and sure enough all the other holes and marks and everything else i did was still there. i found my old car, the same exact car 7 years later. needless to say i bought it and will be picking it up this weekend. I'm extremely excited to get back into the cobalt scene with you guys. hopefully some of you are still around, and i'm looking forward to meeting the new faces.

here it is, i'd really like to know who owned it before if anyone knows. they painted the front lip black and did some brake work. other than that they left everything else alone from how i left it.

so, who's still in the mass area?

thanks guys, yeah it's a crazy story. i'm going to restore it to it's former glory. the aftermarket has changed so much i have to do some research on what's new. i might skip the nitrous this time, it was fun at the time but probably not needed at this point.

Awesome story. When I bought my 07 I wanted to find a yellow one to replace my yellow LT that was totaled three weeks prior, I love yellow on these cars.

holy **** that's my car, yeah we must know each other. that fuse cover must be a one off at this point. I'm not sure if the company is still in business. I had a custom coil pack cover as well. I debadged the whole car, so it looks like someone put badges back on it in the wrong spots for an 05. they'll be coming off again lol

You want to buy it back?
I ended up winning it on eBay as part of a package of SS parts hahahaha

it's awesome that people are remembering this car. it has so much history, i'm so glad to have it back. BlackSSstg2 you bought some of my parts when i parted it out? thats funny. i'd buy it back if it's in decent condition. it was the one with the yellow cobalt ss writing on it right? hopefully in the spring i'll be able to start piecing it back together how it was before i sold it. it as putting down 250hp/233tq without the nitrous. and that was before we had a big aftermarket for the car. it looks like people are going over that now pretty easily.

Nope.
I got a bunch of stuff on eBay a few months ago and that fuse box cover was in the lot. I think an Ingalls, K&N cai and coil pack cover was as well.

Yeah i had issues with the nitrous that day, we never got numbers on it. It made 250/233 without it. So with the 75 shot i can imagine it would have been close yoo 300. Id love to see the video. Im gathering all the stuff i can to add to the new
