Jerzy Powa!!!
I went with the Sportlines and had a good buddy that's a GM tech at a local dealership align her...He said that you can use the same specs as the Cobalt track car, which adds a little camber in the front for better cornering, by drilling out the bolt holes on the strut slightly. I trust what he had said, and I do know that she was aligned quite well and looked bad ass..
I would however, recommend going with some Koni's or some sort of aftermarket shock and strut setup so you don't have to worry about blowing out your factory ones.
Damn Dan, what's goin down man??

I Might need to head over to your dealer then cuz that sounds like he knows what he's doing and I wouldn't trust not one dealer around here for that kinda knowledge!
What dealer and where in NJ? lol I know I'm up north of you boys so I might be willing to take a day off from work to drive down there and have this guy check me out, fix me up and set me on my way! lol
****, I don't remember now.... which one is the bigger drop... Pro kit right?
And I had figured with a drop traction would increase > making traction better?
I could just as easly **** this $$ away on power.... eh hem matt tune + install on my flywheel + an RDFabs 3" Intake....... But I'm trying to do thing right and figured this would take care of all my suspensiuon crap from here on out...

Sportlines further drop the F & R of the car. The issue that I'm talking about isn't related to traction, it's related to the angle of the driveline when the front suspension is run lowered. It puts more stress on the halfshafts. That is why the race teams shim by the steering rack...to acheive stock angles w/ the halfshafts. They also have to do this because their mounts angle the engine further forward. Same idea though.
I would always encourage you to get the power to the ground first, but suspension and driveline modifications to properly handle power over stock are rediculous. You would want the Mounts, Grand Am knuckles, upgraded driveshafts, spherical rod ends for the control arms along with those upgraded inserts/shocks and springs to really get the car where it needs to be. That is why most people, like myself, work around these issues by having Matt incorporate proper TQ MGT into the tune...
Bob Maguire Chevy in Bordentown...Ask for Chris, he was the Tech that I dealt with. Also drives a Cobalt SS/SC, he does Auto-X so he would know exactly what to do and what suggestions to give.
Pro Kit is 0" drop F / .5" drop R, it basically evens the car out.

All you would have to do to make sure that there is no real driveline issues if going with the Sportlines, is to find a way to slightly tilt the motor back to compensate for the changes. Sounds a little easier then it is, actually...It shouldn't be too difficult. I had the Sportlines, and factory springs on mine for quite a few miles with no ill effects, to my knowledge at least.
I guess what I'm wondering is.... I'm gunna go Sportlines... Should I get these shox? Or are there others that might be better for me? Cuz I figured the price of them was more being as there adjustable
would your guy over in boardertown be able to help me out with that?
U mean Factory Shox?

If you go with the Konis, you won't need the springs. The Konis are adjustable, so you can raise or lower your whip with them alone.
You can just go with the eibachs with the stock shocks and struts for now, but I would suggest upgrading eventually. It's all going to come down to your budget. You can do JUST the Eibach Sportlines, and upgrade and sell those later...Or you can go with the Koni's or some sort of Coilover setup and pay more as well as bypassing the Springs.. Call the service department at Bob Maguire Chevy in Bordentown and see if Chris, the Tech is in..Tell him you are from this site, and that you know Andy...ME...and ask him, he will know best.

Depending on milage, you can run the sportlines on stock struts/shocks no problem, but it's not ideal.
The only thing that is adjustable about the Koni's is the dampening, which means they'd either be softer or harder. Height is not adjustable. You can only get the Koni's adjustable and regardless if you want to adjust them or not, I would recommend them. They come preset from the factory for optimal mix of street/strip, so you should be able to just install them out of the box and have a good ride w/ the sportlines.
What I was getting at about the suspension geometry was that if you want to go w/ bigger power, you will definately want to address that issue. On your power, the change shouldn't effect too much. Remember, the front shocks are inserts for the stock struts, so the tech is going to have to cut the shock out of the stock strut and install the koni insert in. It's actually easier than it sounds, and lasts very long, but it's good to know that you'll have to modify and reuse stock components before you buy. I didn't think he was still offering that deal, but it was a good price when he was offering it...
Yea, I PM'd him and said I need to hop on it ASAP but he'd still doit.
Ok ! Thats pretty much what I was looking for as far as an answer go's. I just needed a lil reasurance on the purchas. I think Imma buy it then Wed when the income tax check clears... Thankx Boys! What would I do with out U guys!

Eh, I'm just joking. Basically, one guy in the area got mad at me cause I told him he was an idiot and that I didn't care if I hurt his feelings. Since then, he's been PM'ing all the local guys about setting up meets so that I don't know about them because he wants to avoid me. Guy is freakin' 40+ and thinks I care that he's acting like a four year-old...
