Marylanders R calling You OUT!
So I have a question, how do I tell if my h/e pump quit working? There is no coolant flowing from the top fitting of the stock h/e to the option b where when I first put it on it was flowing. Now if it did go bad is the car safe to drive? I have to drive 6 hours north tomorrow to my wifes grandmothers funeral and i'm already 6 hours away in NY....******* chevy, why the hell did I buy another american car. On top of this potentioal issue the car gets pig ******* rich at times and will buck at low RPM's, then it will be fine...WTF

are your IAT high? if so, from my readings of high IATs and no coolant flowing, the pump has gone bad, but ive never owned a SS/SC so this is just from me reading and knowing people who owned them

turn your car on.. tap the pump with a hammer, its under the car near the radiator... and check to see if its running... try it a couple times to see if that gets it working for the trip..
if you cant get it to work... just dont beat on it... its not like its 100 degrees outside... even with it not running, it wont get dangerously high...
just get it done asap...then think about getting a interceptor and a wideband, so you know what your cars doing... makes you feel alot better
I got it working this morning, barely tapped it and it started flowing. I have an AEM wideband and i'm getting an interceptor after I replace this coolant pump. Just had a rough night lastnight then I saw that stopped working.
glad you got it working man... their only like 100 bucks on ebay
Hey Jeremy, I found this for you: Butt Dyno [ARSE411] - $399.95 : KaleCoAuto, Hard to find automotive items!
3.49 at the station off base also but you also have to remember that it takes 30% more E85 to equal the same AFR you get with pump gas. Figuring that in, if you were getting 25mpg on pump gas, you'd get about 17mpg on E85. While you would be spending less at each fill up, you would be filling up more often. If you figure up monthly cost for both, it would equal out to paying $4.50 a gallon for fuel. You actually spend much more with E85, even though it's cheaper.
He's military though, that's a little different. I make almost twice what he does to do something twice as easy and with better hours.
Therefore, I'm hated by 90% of everyone I know, especially those who have a degree and I don't but still making tens of thousands more than them a year.
