Finally dropped the trunk off to get the keyhole fixed. Charged me $60 to weld it shut. Then I'll finish it with body filler if needed, then primer. Already getting people who want it!

 

I found a black wingless for $250, just have to decide if I really want to do it. Plus I haven't even seen it yet so who knows if it's scratched up or not.

 

That's cool. Yeah I was going to paint this one black, but decided to leave the color to the buyer. It should be perfect in primer when I get done with it. I should pick it up tomorrow or Friday at the latest they said.

Filler primer. I'm going to see how good of a job they do with the key hole. I think they're just welding a plate on the front of it and smoothing it all down.

well theyre gonna weld in a circle piece, whether they smooth it or not for $60 is questionable. As for the filler ppg or 3m you cant go wrong. For the primer get some ppg and ill come spray it for you one day with my paint gun.

 

Seriously, I was going to spray it with the spraycan. He's coming down saturday to get it.

 

I wouldn't spray can it, thats shitty. If you're going through all the trouble having the work done right you might as well finnish it the right way.

 

Well you can get spay can primer and do it they sell it like that at paint stores, just get the good kind. Find a local paint store and ask for some metal etching primer and they should be able to hook you up, good primers only like $20 a can, but you need a gun to spray it.
