Well long story short i just picked up a set of 80s and new era performance can suck my left tit with the prices they are telling me. i am from rochester, ny and i am looking for someone around the area [willing to travel within the state, maybe farther if its not TOO far] to help me tune my car for E85.

My current mods are: cobalt addiction header/2.5" catted downpipe, custom catback exhaust, k&n intake, 2.8 pulley, 60s and tuned by new era performance.

Basically they told me that tuning the 80s for E is a process that will take doube the amount of time and work to tune for so they wanted me to donate my kidney for a dynotune and as a student I don't have that kind of money to toss around. I don't have HPT so sending a file can't help me at the moment so I would rather give my business to forum members.

hey call BYT Backyard Turbo (click the BYT name)they are down in penn but not that far. im going down in mid april and i know they do the Trifecta tunes along with other so call and ask. and they are the BEST ones around. or if u can get a few more people together he will drive to a dyno close to u and tune their.

deff will let you know if things dont work out with gdubs and trifecta. i always like having a back up plan. let me know the cost and we can have him meet us halfway or something.

 

When i had my redline i got tune by Paul(06blackg85ss). I was really impressed with the amount of knowagle and what not and i never had any problems with my tune. I liked it alot. I'm going back to him in a few weeks to my 09 SS tuned. Give him a shout. He might be able to help you out too.

 

Stick with BYT. Its your best bet IMO.

We may be having anorher tuning meet at synapse in scotia ny soon. Had a pretty good turn our last year i think we would need 5 cars to purchase a tune to cover byt's travel cost. Tunes are done on the dynojet not street tunes.

 

yeah i had some one ask me if i wanted to go to synapse and do it their when he comes up but i dont want to wait forever. but im down

 

im kind of getting the run around right now we plan on doing it at albany speed shop on central ave but the guy keeps saying he going to call me and never does ill have tro stop over there tomorrow and see whats up expect a thread about the meet within a week if it all goes well.

yeah we would be doing it hourly so you can be tuned on the dyno it would be 150 for the dyno and what ever the tune cost. if you two (09cobaltss and big ss tc) buy tunes we only need two other peole to buy tunes that havnt already been tuned to cover nicks travel fee!

a byt tune is well worth the wait
