I'm in need of a new winter car. This is going to be the last winter for my 98' Cavalier RS.
She was good to me. I've owned her for 14 years come this February. Never failed me.
I've been tossing around the idea of owning just one car that would be good in all weather. What I've been thinking of are the new wrx's.
Practical, good in the snow, and has good power to keep my hp addiction at bay.

hey since you made an appearance in this thread Staged, do you have your NICET cert? i just got bumped to take my exam in november when i was registered for early 2014 because i missed the deadline for november but because there is open seats left i got moved up. just trying to find out how it was and what all i need for resources right now, i don't believe i know anybody who took it and the company i'm taking it for wants me to get to level 2

went to an auto-x up in tannersville area today. got to see Baron (John's) new C7 and he took my dad for a ride which was nice. i ended up riding in a C6 for a couple runs which was nuts, damn i wish i would've took my car up...

I agree. Not going to make any moves until next spring though.
Just going to pray my cavy survives one more winter, lol.
I like the hatch a lot, but the newer wrx sedan with the sti wide body looks bad ass as well.

Are you talking about your EIT? I have my certified bridge inspectors licence as well.
No NICET though.

yea it's pretty sick, john did say a while back he will be at cars and coffee this weekend
i already have my EIT, the NICET i'm taking is to be certified for highway construction inspection but there are a lot of others. the reason i asked was because there are no study guides or example tests out there that i can find, all it says is that it should be straight forward because it all relates to experience.. but oh wait i don't have much because the company wants me to get level 2 before i start working for them. to reach level 2 you need to pass 25 work elements and i scheduled the max allowed at 34. also none of my buddies have taken it either

Also I was going to... but there's no point. Everyone would hit "going" now and then a month before the meet when we start pushing it again, people will remember and go "oh ****, I forgot to plan for this".
