If I go, it will be tomorrow, not Thursday. I am leaving as soon as I get home from work Thursday for State College, resting for an hour or two and then heading to Harrisburg and on to Deal's Gap. Fun fun.

LOL, I don't even know that he's buying any. Unlike yourself, he DOES NOT have spare rims. So chances are he's gotta make sure he can line those up before purchasing tires. So I am POSITIVE that you will get to the tires before he does.

Sorry about the brake fluid, we both forgot it this weekend. If you can meet up maybe tomorrow? BWW Monroeville perhaps? I can get it to you then. I am without car ATM (although if you're going down 30 after 5, you can stop at the house) And probably will be until I get home from work tomorrow. Wes will be home this weekend, although if he doesn't get his car done he will have no transportation, so you'd have to get it from him at the house.

Gonna order tire totes and brake pads tonight most likely as well.

They raise the price on your fun tires, they drop the price on mine. My R comps just saw a good $40/tire price cut. YAY!

Yeah... alot of street tires are coming up in price.

I think I'm about 70% sure i'm ordering the tires from Hoosier. I really really want them, as i know I will need them before long.

Shudder to think of paying 1200 for tires alone for the A6's.

Oh well.... such is life... going fast takes $$.

I think it has to do with the supply. More common sizes are usually cheaper.

To those who have been trying to get a hold of me for tunes/work/etc, sorry, I was swamped with work to do this weekend.

Wes is putting the motor back together as we speak, don't know if he talked to you about it or not. LOL I think the goal is to have it done by Thursday. Otherwise he's got no transportation until Monday.

Yeah, I talked to him yesterday, but I can't be there today, I'm stuck in Cleveland for the day/night.

I wouldn't worry about that. We've been into the suspension now. I think we could help you get that done in no time now.

If those are the catridge replacements, I've been told they aren't too hard to do. I've never personally changed one, but there really isn't much to a strut.

Dan, Al... yes these are the "sleeve inserts". They come with instructions to remove, cut empty and intsert the new piece. I'm told my some Suby guys that it's not a tough job, but a little time consuming. Something in the range of 4 hours or so. I could be wrong.

Maybe one weekend soon we can do it. I got SOOO much to do to the car in the next few weeks, this might have to wait until June... there are a few weeks between SCR events then.

Speaking of which....

Dan, are you interested in coming out to NP this weekend?? Falconi field is the weekend after that... both Saturday and sunday ( mother's day ). That weekend is an SCR event ... #2 and #3

We also need to do another Dave and Busters/Sing Sing night sometime.

That was kinda off the top of my head.

We could do that saturday.
Also Brian it took me about 4 hours to change my springs, but I could tear into those pretty quickly now.

Sing sing.... ohhh yea... definately.

As far as the strut/shocks..... since I have NO experience working with them, I can only think that the spring and strut are tied together and have to come out as a unit, or if you can pull the strut out from inside the spring.

As I said... I'm new. I dunno.

I don't have air tools, so I was going to take it to someone's place anyway, so we'll see.

They aren't hard, you just have to have all the tools and a sure fire way to loosen the top bolt (which I have now). Takes a while the first time you do them, but as Dan said, after doing it once, I could prolly change em out pretty quickly now.

Brian...
1) NP is sounding very appealing. I want to try a course with these springs. Plus, Justin should have my numbers made by then.
2) I'm with Al and Dan on this one... we could have those Koni's installed in a few hours at Dave's or Al's place.

I think I may have made some boo-boos when installing those, but I guess I will find out when I start driving it.

Well, the new rings to lock the wrist pins are SpiralLox style (which sux to put in BTW). I got 16, apparently your suppose to use two per side, 4 per piston. Well I only used 1 per side, 2 per piston. There is no way another one would fit over the first. I am not 100% you are suppose to use all or if they are extras, but Station said its not unusual to use double spirallox. But w/e.

Plus on the #2 rod, the bearing kinda moved and kept falling, not on very well. But I just bolted the rod together and hope it holds. The Tq angel meter kinda fubarred and one of the bolts on that #2 rod is way stretched beyond specs, lol. But least its tight.

Plus I never honed, so we'll see what happens when it gets fired up tomorrow. Better not sound like an STI. I got the cams all bolted and aligned. Only thing I got left to do is toss the head on and time the motor. Which I've learned to do in about 10 minutes.

You free to come over sometime after 12noon tomorrow Al?
