Good idea. I'm thinking it will be a nice cool night, should help the temps a bit.

Stupid question, running in the 13's you need a helmet, right? I haven't been to the track since I was stock lol.

I do not believe you need a helmet when running 13's. I think it is like 11's

If I had extra money to spend...i'd be in, but I've gone broke modding the Balt! haha

If there ends up being 5-6 balts there...that would be pretty good competition. Let's just hope this rain doesn't spoil our fun...too bad it couldn't be today.

You technically do need a helmet. But no one has ever said anything to me so you will be fine. They don't even ask me to pop the hood or look at the car to tech it in.

So don't worry about it.

Just looked at the weather and not looking all that well. According to The Weather Channel at 5pm tomorrow 60% chance of rain then 30% chance of rain through 11pm when drag hours are over.

I really hope it doesn't rain. Figures, it's nice out today and Friday.

Thanks for the info guys. I was pretty sure NHRA rules say 13.9 is helmet, and the rules tighten from there. I'm glad they're easy on the tech inspection for newer cars. I know I got hassled once about a plastic oil pressure gauge line (instead of metal) on my Chevelle years ago. Which is understandable, they shouldn't have to clean and prep the track every time somebody negligently spills on the track.

Honestly, I think the techs just look at the car and think, "wtf is a cobalt going to do".

Hey Fran, if I stop down tomorrow (if weather permits for track), you happen to have a pump/needle for say, footballs? So I can slide these in? I don't think I got one here and don't feel like running out to get one.

Weather update: Tonight should be good with 10% chance of rain. Thats sounds good enough for me. I'm going and I believe the people who are coming with me (julius41282, and Boosted06SS) will be there as well. Looks like the rain will hold off and it will be a good cool night. Hope everyone will still be able to come.

I'll be looking for the footballs...

Just keep checking out PrP's website. If they close the track, it will say on their website.

If it stays open, I am going to leave work around 3 and head to Fran's. Probably ninja his shop for 5 minutes so I can put slicks on there and also inflate the drag bags more.

I convinced the tech guy once that it was my first time to the track and the car prob wouldn't even run 13's the one time I forgot my helmet at home

Meanwhile I had 10 layers of PRP stickers on my windshield, mickey's on the rear and nitrous lines in full view. I shat myself when it was the same guy working the time slip booth... he didn't say a word tho.
