Alicia, did youhave a nice B-day????

I'm still having trouble seeing you trade in the SS on a GTO... not becuase of anything but just didn't think you'd want to Autocross a car that big and heavy.

Or are you getting out of autocross?

I had an awesome birthday . Wes got me my BWoody sway bar links, an iHome (cause my old alarm clock SUCKED.....and iHomes are just friggin cool), and Super Paper Mario for my Wii. I got my last car payment from my mom's parents and a grand total of $1200 from parents and other grandparents.

Financially I can't do a trade in right now. I'd LOVE to, but no. Besides, I wanna enjoy not having a car payment for a few years. As for auto-x I'll run whatever I buy. I'm not THAT serious about it to let it influence my car-buying decisions. I'll get what I want to live with day-to-day and auto-x it for fun on the weekends.

Ahhhhh Well glad you had a great B-day.

I figured you'd want to be car payment free for a while.

I'm getting to the point where I'm the complete opposite.... I can never just "get into" things casually... I'm either going in deep, or not at all....

Right now, I'm forced to make do with what I have. If I have the chance to change that...well that's a different story.

If I get to the point that I want a really competitive auto-x car, I wouldn't buy something new. Too much invested and aftermarket is too expensive. I'll either go with an older Honda or a Miata or something along those lines.

very good point.

I can't really do the whole "two car thing" right now, so I need that balance of everday car / good cone machine.

If I DID have a 2nd car... it would be a Vette....

Oh it will be coming out. That might be my runway car for State College, mwahahahaha. Josh's main competition out there moved, so someone's gotta challenge him. Plus I would love nothing more than to beat the snot out of my Honda-humper friend Gami in a Cobalt.

I might have to make a trip out to Central sometime... I found out I have a place to stay about 45 minutes away from there.

Eh... you should be OK on street tires. I ran about 7 or 8 times last year and didn't break anything, and look at all the miles mine has ( over 61K now ).

Gates open @ 5... I should be there by 6:15 or 6:30
Hope you come out Tim. I've not seen ya since the debut of the new rims...

It's dumping the clutch and wheelhop when you'll break something (right Wes? haha). I launch hard, but not as hard as I could.

Anyway, I'll be there, too.

45 minutes in which direction? The actual auto-x is in Phillipsburg, which is like 30-40 minutes from state college depending on fog and weather. It's right out of Black Moshannon state park. Hopefully no one here has events on the cone killer weekend. Two days of runway mayhem....you should go.

I thought Mt. Union was like 3 hours away. The park rents out cabins as well, that's where some people stay. It's literally like 5 minutes away from the site.

I'm sure I can find someplace for you to stay if you really want to run. The cone killer weekend is on-site camping. So you can just camp at the airport for the weekend and not worry about it.

On a side note, b-day shopping is FUN. Yesterday I had NO CLUE what to get Wes...today I have so many ideas, I have no idea how I'm gonna manage all of em. Hehehehe this is fun.

Gosh, he was entertained with that ***** for the longest time. Basically anything from the **** shop would probably make him happy.
