360. PS3 is overpriced... mostly due to the blu-ray drive. HD-DVD is going to be the next gen format of choice anyway (and 360 supports an HD-DVD drive add-on if you feel it necessary to watch DVDs in HD). 360 has more big-name exclusive titles anyway: Gears of War, Forza 2, Halo 3. PS3 only has the new Metal Gear Solid game. PS3 controllers suck... they are the same as PS2 controllers plus the new Sixaxis controls. Xbox Live is 1000000x better than PS3 online.

Plus, even if you want a PS3, you have to either pay a buttload over retail, or wait a few months due to the massive shortage.

Correct. I regularly own Alicia and Wes online in Need For Speed Carbon.

 

I believe we won a couple races. I've played enough Carbon now that I think I can hold my own.

 

Best place to get 360? Does it have a steering wheel set-up like PS2?

How is Carbom? IS it drifting or actual racing? How about Forza 2?

If it has a steering wheel set-up I am in!!!

I got my 360 at Best Buy just so I could rack up the Rewards Zone points. There is a wireless wheel and pedal set, but you have to pay extra (obviously). Supposedly it has forced feedback and everything (which is supported in Carbon and will be supported in Forza 2). Forza 2 isn't out yet, but the graphics look AMAZING from the demos I've seen so far.

Go for the 360 George, it's well worth it. Dan pretty much covered why NOT to go with PS3. Wes and I, and probably Dan will eventually end up with Wiis too.

Dan, did you look into the TV/Movie download thing they just added on 360???? Looks AWESOME. They have standard def movies insanely cheap. It's like $7 for new release movies...eventually you'll be able to just download high-def movies to the 360 instead of buying them.

You want the $399 version. Here's the diff:

The hard drive alone is $100 as an accessory. So if you don't buy a hard drive, you need to buy memory cartridges (which are $40 or so). So if you buy a core, you will have to pay at least $340 total just to be able to save games. So for only $60 more, you get a ton more storage space, as well as all the other goodies.

 

You're required to have the hard drive for certain stuff too. Like some of the Xbox Live stuff.

Dan's right though George, don't even consider the Core, you'll end up spending more money in the long run to get the same stuff. If you really wanted the same system as the Premium, but bought the core it's somewhere in the neighborhood of $170 extra for the hard drive, wireless controller, and HD cables.

I met a pretty cool dude tonight on my way home from work. I saw a mazda 6 and a 300c take off by robinson onto 60, so I followed them. I passed the dude in the hemi, "he wasent trying" and he got up beside me when we had open lanes, he hit it and i caught up in third and pulled pretty hard in fourth. He gave me a thumbs up and we got off at aliquippa together an pulled into a gas station. we talked for like 15min, name was aaron. But yea his first words were you were ******* cheathing, that things supercharged, I could hear it over my engine. But yea he was pretty cool and lives right by me, but thats my story for the day since ya'll didnt do anything haha
