WHen you're going over the bridge on 30 that crosses over 119/70... you can see it on your right... big white garage with red letters...

If you get off 30 @ the 119 exit, and go towards New Stanton... go to the light where the donut shop & BP is... turn left @ that light and go to the next light ( across the tracks ) and make another left...

That SHOULD be the street they are on IIRC. They would be on your left. If you go back under the bridge for 30... you passed them.

They are up @ PRP almost every week.

go to asap, they alrady are familiar with the 2.4 setup and could easily weld one in for you.

Just don't run it if it's completely stock. First, you have larger injectors. Second... boost.

I agree... Elizabeth isn't THAT far. I can be there in less than 20...

Jay, I was going to ask you about that... How were they?? Was the car pretty nice?

When is Renae ( spell? ) picking it up??

well, without offending anyone on here.

She loves the cars form. We did not really put it through the screws for handling.

But we both were disapointed in its stock acceleration, after driving a goat then driving it, theres no real comparison, it's quick dont get me wrong, but it does not give you that feel.

for the $28,000 sticker they were asking for it, its a cool car. But I won't pay that for it.

I'll see if theyll let it go for invoice, appearantly the gxp's are not moving.

You're not offending anyone by stating your opion of a test drive. Wait... maybe you are...

Seriously.. that's the quality I have felt in most TURBO cars.... the turbo doesn't really come alive on that car until the upper end of it's power band, and that's coming from someone who I know that owns one.

The 3" cat-back opened it up a bit and the K&N filter made throttle response a bit better. They both agree that the car would love a CAI. ( not legal in stock class )

That's what drove me away from turbo cars.. the lack of off boost acceleration. Once the snail spools, then it's a different ballgame.

GXP's not moving huh??? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Nah, gotta wait until winter... Would love to see what one feels like though...

I bet its a great track car, but ya the sales manager stated they arent ordering many because they dont seem to sell to well. Most people bach at their prices.

ya I have some experience with turbos in a previous car, but it also was a turbo v8. I've also driven my share of dsms and evos.

Don't get me wrong its a cool car, and I'd definitely like one, but its not $28k nice... If I can get it for $26ish I'd take it

I agree... the GXP is way overpriced for what it is. But dang does it look good.

Side note... I didn't mean to come off as a thread moderator. Opinions are fine when expressed in a respectful manner... or even in a jokingly fun manner. I was just getting tired of constant insults. But don't tip toe around because of little old me.

Onto other topics: I have the turbo. It's pretty sweet. I'll post pics in a bit.

And here it is:

Yeah it's aboot time. Only problem now is the downpipe... I've been calling around all day and I'm not having much luck with finding a place to weld the kind of downpipe I want. I may have to run a screamer pipe afterall.

I have 2 prospects:
1) Hybrid Dynamics - $400 and the car down for a few days
2) Motorworks - $55/hour and screamer pipe

I have to talk to Jeff and see what he has on his plate right now and if he'd be able to do this for me.

on another note, I finally have a way to sum up the solstice gxp.

Driving it for acceleration is like getting a blow job, and just quitting before the climax

Hows the boost on the GXP? Does it come in almost instantly? I assumed since it was small and twinscroll, it would be almost instant.

You said your two choices were a GXP and a C6. If those were your two choices, I think it is quite obvious to go for the C6.

if i went with the c6, it would be a lease
problem is, I'd want the Z51, she'd want the vert

I honestly dont see the need for a "toy" considering we both own gtos

we figured the solstice would be a fun little cruiser for weekend drives etc when the sun was out, but it just didnt have the fun factor, boost didnt come on till real high in the power band

On a 2007 Corvette you can get the Z51 option on the convertible...
