Ohh yeah... becuase we all know how exciting it is for women to go to autocrosses....

That's why they make movies about it instead of street racing. Becuase Chicks dig guys that can drive around cones really fast.

that, and guys that can format a hard drive and recite the value of Pie to 13 decimal places.

Well, I could score points for holding her hair back...

PLUS... she seems like she'd be into it. Her dad has a business building race motors, rare obsolete restorations of pre-war cars, and custom 1 off peices.

LOL seems to work just fine for Wes

LOL Josh did that for me once. But those points were negated by 1) picking my passed-out drunk ass up with my best friend's husband and then tossing me across his room by my shirt collar and belt loop onto his bed and 2) inviting his musician buddies over to play guitar and drums with the volume cranked up as high as it would go all night and well into the I-hate-myself-and-want-to-die hangover the next day.

Wow... that's alot of stuff to negate the nice guesture.

Since we'd be at an autocross.... I doubt we'd have to worry about that. Since it would be a car-sick issue, and not a beer sick one.

Have to call her this week I guess.

Yeah, the feeling of being airborne doesn't go all that well with the feeling you get after splitting a medium bottle of peach schnapps and a medium bottle of goldschlager and killing a small bottle of apple pucker yourself.

I'm sure she'd be fine at an auto-x. Give her a call and see what's up.

LOL... ok.

I'll call her this week and see what I can do. I'll be sure to plant the seed of "come watch me race" as well.

Her dad is a big car guy, so she can understand it at least.

The 3M swirl remover is pretty good. Be careful there are a few different kinds. Some only work with either a buffer or an orbital. Never heard of the Jaxwax b4. Just as long as its not one of those once a year bullshit deals. And the Meguires detail spray is good stuff. I used to use it years ago.

the meguiars spray is brand new... this isnt the old quick detail or nxt formula. This comes in a black bottle, labled Ultimate

jaxwax is a highly concentrated carnuba, its not a once a year bs gimmick. http://www.jaxwax.com I personally saw a car with a few coats of it... wow... it actually was the orange gto. Made that color look amazing.

I used to use all NXT or Zaino... but unfortunately the protection just was not there.

also there are plenty of carnubas out there that can protect, and layer over the paint, and act as a sealant over time you made some almost correct valid points, just trying to educate the wrong guy on this subject

Just remember that carnuba doesnt protect. Its just visual enhancement. If you want something that protects you have to look at sealer. Carnuba molecules are to big to get into the pours of the paint. It just lays on top. Im sure the spray is still similar to what they have out right now. Take the marketing scheme with a grain of salt. Its still good stuff no matter what. I liked it when i used it.

Jax Wax is a Carnuba wax and a sealant. and I've ran my home based break down tests on the products..

the jax wax is way different than most carnubas, when you actually see the bottle of this stuff, you'll see the oil based sealant actually seperates from the carnuba, until you shake it up to mix. Which allows it to pour through those pours

As far as the meguiars, completely diff formula, I ran my tests, and it reacts different than NXT and Goldclass

(fyi, I'm a chemist and a chemical engineer by trade/education)

membrane seperation, ionization, and process automation/distributed controls are specialities of mine

ohh, im not arguing... im just pointing out the differences in products, sorry if i came off that way

a lot of detail shops use specific pieces for each step of the way

Glazes, sealants, carnubas etc

What most shops fail to realize is, a lot of the pro carnubas have a glaze, wax, and a sealant all built into it

you'll have to try it out for yourself

I'm to much of an obsessive compulsive to be dabbling with glazes etc lol

To each their own. Maybe next time we meet up, you will have to look and feel my car. Likewise for myself and maybe we can come to a better understanding of eachothers train of thought.

i have no doubt lol... gotta love the feel of a freshly clayed car, that has a few layers of polishes etc

I've seen yours, looked pretty good, but i didnt stare into the paint to see the depth of the shine though

im just not a fan of the process/expense that a pro detailer takes when a similar shine can be had with a pro sealer/wax carnuba product

Be careful. You only want to do that if you want the feeling of being mesmerized
