I was talking to Ed about that since he's running FULL slicks @ the strip now on the SRT, and they told him ( the guys that built his car ) that he would be safer running the slicks on the car axle-wise, than the drag radials...
That made NO sense to me. Now the car is hooking... they said that the wheel hop is what kills the axles on the FWD cars. I dunno...

BTW, I know it's morning and no one is thinking, let alone planning, but anyone feel like doing b-dubs? Depending on weather, I want to wash and wax the car after work, so it'd probably be a lil later, like 7:30 or so.
Yeah but there's still two ways to kill an axle, I can fully understand how wheel hop kills axles, but you can also get to a point of having so much grip that the axles snap. Plus I've noticed I get worse wheel hop on my r-comps than on my Neros.
At any rate, with our axles having the strength of toothpicks, be careful out there!

I'm out for B-dubs... I'l lbe in bed when you get to there...
Good ol' 1st Try by the airport in Moon.
You should be find as far as Axel brian. With 70k miles and rcomps, I see your clutch slipping before you grip to break an axel. If it starts hopping, just let off. Also, just dont dump the clutch.
