Dan's redline now runs. Might I add on first try/crank too.

Cams and Turbo + open downpipe (actually an 'up-pipe') is the best WTF sound. Omg is it win. Like a Tank.

Hey all...

Back from Topeka. Got in around 9:30 last night. Had a blast @ nationals and am already formulating the budget for the 2008 season. Just need to decide on a car. With how the folks @ GMPD treated me this past week, it will be hard to stray.

Speaking of which.... I might be getting my hands on a set of Recaros for the SS in the event I run the car next season. If I do, I'll be sourcing out a G85 tranny as well, since they recommended me to NOT try to have the tranny rebuilt with an LSD. In the event that I DO NOT run the SS next season, I'll be selling the Recaros for whatever I pay for them. Keep that in mind all of you that like the seats.

A person with GM has access to some that might be for sale.

dynojet does not take into account loaded friction, resulting in 10% higher numbers

a mustang dyno loads friction to the wheels to simulate road load, when used in conjunction with a wideband, itll give a more accurate A/F ratio

I couldn't help it. Must be the wing...

Washed and waxed both cars today, plus put my 15" alloys on hers (it had steelies w/covers). I was driving hers this evening, pulled onto 30 at Barnes Lake Road heading back toward Greensburg... next thing I know some moron in a Dodge Ram is on my ass, with no headlights on, then flashes his lights at me and gives us the finger. Try putting your headlights on, dipshit. Maybe then people would be able to see you...

Thanks guys

I did as well as I expected. DFL in my class of 41 drivers. I contended against Type-Rs, R32s, TTs that are AWD, Crossfires, WRX's, Lexus IS ( the new one ), and a couple of SRT4-ACRs.

I was the only Cobalt in 1170 registered drivers.

I drove decently well the 1st day and really f-n good on Friday, but it wasn't fast enough.

Dan Tyger drove VERY well considering he never drove the car and has never Autocrossed on R-comps. I think he finished 26th in his class out of 30-something cars. The car owner finished 23rd overall as well.

Sam Strano, a semi-local guy, won F-stock in a 2007 Shelby GT. He's been after to me to get into the FS pool and run a GT next year.

Problematic.... I'll call you this week. I'll be nuts tomorrow @ work, but I'll make time.

Well, I made it back home safe as well. I put some huge write-ups on racepa, so I'll try to make this summary short. Nats was INSANE...so many cars out on 2 courses side-by-side...a new car went off the start line every 15 seconds or so. I had a lot of fun driving the Camaro, and I achieved my goal of not finishing in last place against 30 of the best F Stock drivers from around the country in a car that I literally drove for the first time at 6am on Thursday, and I was racing on the course at 8:15am. R comps are very addicting, and I'll most likely take the big blue car out to Kansas next year and see if I can finish mid-pack against those amazing Shelby GT drivers.

I cannot stress how much help Brian gave Jeff and myself out there...see, can't we all just get along? It looks like a lot has happened on here this past week while we were in Kansas, so I probably will not be posting on here as often, so as to not contribute to any more commotion.

Edit: I'm fairly sure Sam's times were faster than the B Stock cars, and I think he could have trophied in A Stock as well with his times. He was even faster than Justin R's crazy BSP STi on the east course in a stock class Shelby GT. Truly impressive driving skill...oh, and he whomped all over the other F Stock drivers as I expected

Ok... so apparently I didn't read back too many pages to see what went on. Don't think I care to either.

Dan, as far as me helping.... that's what we're all there for. To help each other. I'm glad I was able to be of some help to you and Jeff. Just think, that was my 1st time @ nats as well.... didn't seem like it though, huh?
