Pittsburgh Crew < You
Well, Monroeville actually was decent last night. We had the weird o's to the left of us, a group of loud, fast 03-04 cobras to the other side, an STI powered Subaru SUV of some sort and a dude that rolled through in a black pickup truck that got out and pretended to have a gun, and started walking toward the weird o crowd. Then there were the cops (left us alone). Like steve said, we waited till bout 12:15 then we all left. We had a bit of an unfortunate night at the end of the evening though. 30 seconds one way or another and we could have avoided this:
Woah, what the hell happened? Is that Karla's car?????
I was at Target till like 9:20 or so, rolled down through Miracle Mile before going home. Looked like there was seriously some bad news out early. Black Civic was attempting to do burnouts in the lot, then decided it would be best to take off like a bat out of hell along the storefronts towards Damons and Mad Mex came within about 2 seconds of running over a woman and her daughter. The woman literally pushed her daughter out of the way and then jumped it was that close.

Hope Al doesn't mind if I use his name for a post... this is 2.4 Dan.
I finally woke up now. Everyone else is still sleeping. Hopefully they'll get up soon. We have lots of tuning to do, but if you guys feel like a little drive, you can come around for some tuning and a look at the car wherever we go to tune. The thing is really sick. I'll be making a huge thread about the car somewhere... maybe over at .com. I have tons of pics from the install.
Short summary: wastegate had fitment issues that needed to be worked around. Everything fits great now and Jeff did some nice work once again. Doesn't appear to have any major mechanical problems except for a possible TINY trickle from the oil feed on the block. That will get sealed up as I need to get a shorter oil feed line and an angled fitting anyway. As for tuning, lots still to be done. We do need larger injectors as I suspected. Al wants to look around for his 42.5# injectors today. If we can't find those, I'll be ordering some brand new ones ASAP. Car doesn't seem to like steady part-throttle ATM... but then again we did very little tuning last night, so we really need to get out on the road with the wideband wired into HPTuners (we watched AFR by eyes on the gauge last night). Oh, I also would like a better boost controller. I might spring and get an electronic one. If not, I'll get a Forge controller which will at least be a very reliable manual boost controller.
Now we need to figure out if PRP is open this Wednesday for TnT considerint it's the 4th.
Anyways, give me a buzz or send a text in a little and I'll let you know what's up with tuning.

woohoo! 1st place in F Stock yesterday b$!&#es by a full 2 seconds
Pedders suspension parts and hotchkis swaybar rock! Course was very fast at BeaveRun, with some really tricky, really tight sections. They had to modify the finish at the end of the 2nd heat...one car literally locked its brakes up for 40 feet and came within 8 feet of hitting me and the timing trailer
(I was standing there waiting for my worker assignment for the next heat.
People were just being foolish and not realizing that you actually had to brake BEFORE the big finish cones in order to safely come to a stop...there wasn't really anything wrong with the finish in my mind, just people were pushing their cars too hard. Oh well, they took the kink out and made it a straight finish chute to resolve that issue.
Since we finished up early (only 67 cars registered I think), I went to the Irwin car cruise afterward since I was already on the turnpike
My goodness were there a lot of hotties there yesterday, but they all pretty much looked like they were still in high school
Anyway, I met two cobalt guys there and I already forget their names, sorry.
Here's a few pics that I posted on ls2gto as well. Having the two different generation gto's parked next to each other got lots of comments from people walking by, mainly bashing my car, as I expected, until they realized I was the owner standing right next to them as they made fun of the car and I proceeded to educate them
I got lots of positive comments too though.

One big problem though is that my car is now making a lot of clunking noises in the front suspension. I noticed that the strut plates are loose (weren't even tightened down properly two weeks ago when I had the work done) and I don't know what else is wrong, so I'm gonna have to call up Strope's and schedule an appointment

So you got rearended! I was wondering why you were sitting at the light and taking up half the other lane. I just zoomed right by you and thought I just went through a red light. I would have stopped if I knew you got hit.
That sucks, I have no patience for people who don't pay attention. Old or not, I would have beat the living **** out of him!!!!! Did you call the cops or did everyone just handle it on their own? Sucks for the guy that got sandwiched.
The cops came and took down all the info and wrote a report of the accident so now I just gotta call my insurance and get it fixed...my car isnt that bad just sucks I gotta deal with getting it fixed
Reallll quick hello to everyone..
I'm back from the Peru tour event in 1 piece..... too tired to type...
Talk more soon.
Dan.. congrats on the win in FS.... I heard that course was NOT a fun one... someone with a go kart must've planned it...
WOW..... we're sticky-ed now.... we're THAT important....

I dunno Brian, I friggin loved the course but everyone else seemed to hate parts of it. The whole back straight was awesome...I kept challenging myself to find the correct line through the tight little kinks and not lift the throttle through that whole section...Ralph, Jenny, and I forget who else designed the course. Seth rode along on my final run (where I went 1 full second faster!) and I scared him a lot because he thought I was waiting way too long to brake coming up to the turns. He said "wow your car has good brakes, and now it just goes where you want it to." At one point, I was turning so hard that he had his right hand on the oh-poop-handle on the door and his left arm was crossing over his body, bracing his left hand on the passenger A-pillar
So I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm extremely happy with the combination of new struts/shocks, a huge front swaybar, and actually having negative camber in the car now
Oh, and I found part of the clunking noise this morning in the parking lot at work. The swaybar endlink nut on the driver side was so loose that I could thread it off of the bolt with my fingers
It's causing the swaybar flange to shift left and right about 1/2 an inch...gonna tighten it up at lunch.
