I may be. And if anyone's interested, I was thinking about heading to Club Cafe in the South Side to check out a friend's band, Rainstation Zero. They're playing @ 7pm. My friend's the lead singer, and female rock vocalists rule, IMHO She's in a bunch of my education classes. $5, and plenty of drinks. Could head down to South Side Works, after. Simpsons'll be playing @ 9:35. JAS.

So...seeing the Simpsons with a nice buzz, perhaps?

 

I played Club Cafe back in 2005... very cool place to play.


As stated... not a chance I can do it. I have to go to BR tomorrow after work to setup the course for this weekend.

I left work last night @ 7:10.... I was back here @ 5:30AM

Well heres what happened at the dealer yesterday. On the phone they said it was 26,900. I went there and two other people were looking at it, but 1 couldnt get a loan and the others couldnt afford it. So I took it out for a test drive and wow, I could actually floor it in first gear. had a nice chirp into second, makes me want it even more..... So then they go look at my car and I tell them what I want theirs for and what I want for mine. Salesman comes back and says the cars yours for only 568 a month I was like where the hell did that come from. He said they only gave me 1 for my car which I almost expected. So the salesman goes back up to see what happened after I did some math "with Jays help" and saw that my payments shold have been more than $120 a month cheaper. The salesman comes back and says they only gave me 13 for the car Which at this point I was like whatever I dont give a **** just give me the ******* car. So the payment is still 568 a month and the sales man comes back and says that the 26,900 was with rebates..... So I go u pto the "sales manager-my day ruiner" and am like what the hell is this, I can go buy a used one with half the miles "it was a demo with 5100 miles" for 22k. and he says but this one is brand new, I said no it isnt it has 5000 miles, he says it is brand new it hasent been titled. So I said you are NEVER going to sell that car at that price and just walked out. The salesman follows me out and says to be honest with you today was my last day here because of him, he got a job at greenwood chevy. he says I know he is charging way to much for that and he took my number and said he would look around for one and that he would give me a call. Also said he liked me and wanted me to date his daughter . but he was a nice guy and he gave me a dealer book on GTO's for 04. Its pretty nice and he said its kinda a collector item and to see if I can sell it on ebay.

But oh well, guess I just have to try to find another one somewhere now.....

Where did they pull almost 600 a month out from? Thats insane. I hate to say it, but he saw a young guy and either stereo typed you and thought you couldnt afford it and therefore jacked the price up and thought if you pay then he makes out - or - he didnt want to sell the car to you. I saw it day in and day out when i worked at a dealership and other than credit problems, those are the main 2 reasons they dont sell a car to someone. When you get another one, drive it back to the dealership that shafted you and inquire about a beat up piece of **** for like a beater or something. Just to rub it in their face.

Try now maybe. Well the reason it was so high was because they were only giving me 13k for mine which was some bullshit and also the price wasent 26900, it was 29k. they just said the price with rebates instead of sticker

 

Hmm... thought you could get a brand new GTO for $23k???

 

The salesman also showed me that three of the wheels were scratched and that there was a scratch on the ground effects.... didnt think a new car would have scratches... bastard sales manager.

ehhh well abou tthe lowest you can get them down to is 28500. Then you get 2k in rebates, used to be 3k. you get the rebates or 0%

And one more thing, I thought the power delivery would seem similar, but yea It felt sooooo much stronger down low than the balt. Dan "2.4" told me it was different, just didnt know how much.

Weee! V8 low-end torque is a wonderful thing I still need to bug Brian to take me out on a fun run in his SS, to feel how the launch compares.

 

You will be very disappointed, after launching a GTO and launching the balt even with nounts and being lowered they are in a completely different world, just didnt think it was THAT different
