thanks for your help, Mike.

Love the magnaflow already. Stopped at a couple places, and Auto Effects on Route 51, down toward the Get Go, quoted $65 for install and a few bucks for parts. Little bit of trouble understanding the one guy who worked on the install, but he got the gist. Then did a great job in about an hour. Again, hard to talk with him at the end, but he seemed almost proud ended up $72. Plus they had a kickass waiting room.

My old muffler was a lot worse than I thought, sound and flow wise. I can tell the difference. Easy on the throttle and the muffler's quiet, but if I go WOT in 1st and 2nd it sounds pissed off, but not buzzy. The engine is running noticably better. I think there might've been some clogging, or a strange flow pattern, in the stock muffer, after I went dan.spec.

I'm going out to drive some more haha

LOL I never said it would be fun.

BTW new problem. HORRIFIC metal-on-metal grinding when starting out in first when the car is cold. I think I'm in agreement with Wes, I think it's my passenger front axle. No idea why it only does it when cold though, LOL.

It's the axle itself. New tranny fluid won't help that. And BTW Royal Purple sucks ass. synchros

3 different friends tried it. It's too thick, when it's cold out you've got to let it warm up a minimum of 10-15 minutes or else you're going to grind synchros.

I'd rather just stick with the GM stuff.

I've never swapped the axle at all, mine have never been touched. No noticeable fluid loss at all. I've got no clue where it came from except that I don't hear my "click" anymore - it's been replaced with the grind. Something I fear has failed, just don't know what yet. For now it's only doing it when the car is cold, run it for a bit and it won't do it as much.

I was stressing MY axle. Wes is the reigning king of axle destruction in Pgh. I have the **** on my garage floor to prove it.

Hehehe, that sucks man. In the meantime I moved up 3 lvls in WoW, should get 1-2 more before the weekends out. If I was really ambitious, I could be at lvl 55 before I go back to work.

BTW hope no one on here is involved in the wreck up on the Parkway. Don't know what happened, just saw a ton of cop cars, firetrucks, and flatbeds so I doubt it was a pretty one.

Alicia, sorry to hear you're having teh axle issues..... I've not noticed if mine are still clicking or not.

When the car is cold, I get a slight grind on 1-2 shifts, but only the 1st time.

IF .... big IF... I keep the car thru next season I'm getting new axles as a precaution. Of course, if I get the new tranny w/ LSD, I'll do that, and a clutch....

I think my RF strut is not happy anymore either... after 83K miles I'm sure it's time.

I got to play Call of Duty 4 last night on 360.....

WOW..... intense game. I think I might have to get a 360 after x-mas....

Actually it's changed, it's a rattle. Sounds like the exhaust is loose and hitting off something. Still doesn't explain why it only does it when cold.......

LOL My struts have been semi-shot for quite a while. I'd like to get coilovers, but that takes away money that would be well-spent on a house.

Ahhhh,

Well I have that annoying cat heat shield rattle that i need to get under there and fix.... happens when the car is warm.

I have given up on getting a house for the time being. The market is too wild and with my single income, I wouldn't get a decent house that I would be happy with.

So.... fast car here I come

I got to drive Ed's SRT4 yesterday afternooon....

He had it back to "pump gas" tune and WOW.... it was still brutal. Granted, it was not "V8" power surge, but it was a handful for sure.

Cold weather, drag radials and 400WHP = fun times for all.

Well, my house plans are getting pushed back for now. I'd rather save for another year and be able to afford something a little better.

As for the car, it's getting fixed little by little. Racing sway bar links came in this weekend, brake pads came, maybe I can fix that annoying squeal I hear.

LOL - Thanks for proving my point.

Sorry but I didn't need a bottle to run what you did with a "proper" N/A motor and 40* weather. See it always comes down to some excuse with you..."Next year", "next time", "if you didn't have a bottle", "if you didn't put $xxx into your car", "wait til I get headers", "wait til I get tuned".

Not to mention you always need to go into your little bag of what OTHER people can do with their car...

So now you push your car's weight up to the 4000lb. mark instead of trying to say 3700lbs like you did before so you could try and give a reason you didn't do any better, yet my car was the pig at 4200lbs? LOL! I also remember how your headers were going to put 2-3 cars on me, and that I would somehow need a cape for my car? HAHAHA. I ran stock in 80* weather what you ran in 40* weather with headers, no cats, tuned tranny (to YOUR specs), and being tuned.

Oh, and at least I have always known how to get out of stones in my own driveway without a tow truck.

You can go ahead and try to come back with whatever you want to, I don't really care...And apparently no one else around here does either LOL! Post away!
