was anybody with a blue ss/sc by the turnpike in irwin at like 10 tonite? i was out with a buddy and we saw one and he wanted to see what they are made of (i was assuming it wasnt stock, which i told him it probalby wasnt) cuz he beat some stcok ss/sc b4 but he has 340 to the wheels in his dsm

but i was just curious to see if it was someone to try to meet up with someother time

The only blue ones on here are:

me in Monroeville
Rick in Beaver
Luigi who's I'm not sure where, kinda north of the city I think
brk who's in Pittsburgh
Al in Moon/Robinson

and I think that's it for the blue SS/SCs, none of us are in the Irwin area.

There's also PpAzZ with the high rise spoiler, he would be the most likely candidate to be out that way.

There are a few laser blue SS/SC's down around that area, but no one that's ever really posted on here that I recall.

BTW guys I talked to Brian on the phone tonight. He's having a blast in Topeka. His comp runs are tomorrow and Friday. He's getting the royal treatment from GM Performance Division helping him with car setup and basically everything else that he might need. They hooked him up with a free alignment to give him a little more negative camber, gave him the corner weights on the car so he'll know how to set up the Konis when he gets em and/or adjust tire pressures to better balance the car.

They're pretty much doing this for any and all competitors bringing GM cars, which is awesome. Really makes me want to get my ass down there and compete in Nats one of these years myself.

So far the only trophies I know of locally is one of the Steel Cities guys trophied in C-stock.

And for the OMGWTFBBQ!1!!!one!!1!eleven of the day.....in HS the unbeatable MINI got beat by a Mazda 3.

Brian will be posting giddily I'm sure as soon as he gets back, but I just wanted to give y'all and update. I'll probably hear from him as soon as he's done with his runs Friday and the results are in - but that's his news to share so I probably won't have any more updates.

umm.... it was dark out and i couldnt tell that well, looked laser blue i think. i kno it was atleast an 06 cuz of the gm emblem on the side and it was an ss/sc cuz i could hear the whine when it pulled away from the redlite. i kno like 10 guys who live like within 10 mins of me that have ss/sc and arent on here tho, and they all got atleast stage 2 kits, used to see them almost every weekend

Hey have any of you guys' xboxes been acting up since the last 2 updates back to back? Mine is constantly freezing now.

I havent had any issues either, I was not able to connect to live the day halo three came out, but teh next morning it was ok........ I have got to be honest, Halo 3 is fun, but I felt a lil let down.... maybe im just not in the mode for a first person shooter right now... I dont know

 

You know what, this is my second 360 and the other one had the exact same problems. This box's problems started to get chronic after these past 2 updates. Microsoft and their inferior products... BTW no death ring yet..

 

Xbox Live was down the other day for some upgrades. They were having issues after the Halo 3 launch.

As for the updates, none were causing mine to freeze. Think you might have a problem there Tim.

And Matt... I'm gonna laugh when they lay the ban-smack down on all of you 360 modders. They did it on the original, and they'll do it for this one.

That's what's keeping me from modding mine. I'd love to, trust me, but it's SO not worth getting banned over.

 

From what matt explained to me ht emod to get rid of the ring of death is just replacing the clip that holds on the processor with some nuts and bolts, and as for runnung burned games all you do is flash it and no hardware changes are needed

Well the "red ring of death" comes on for any error. So while that fix might prevent it for that issue, you can easily get a red ring for a thousand other errors.

And the way they mod the 360 currently is by flashing the DVD firmware so that it skips the check of an encrypted signature (for which only MS has the private key) that includes, amongst other things, a media flag indicating the type of media (iirc). Therefore it allows you to run from unofficial media. While that may work for now, sooner or later they're going to start checking firmware versions or other data through the 360 OS.
