Congrats on the warranty work. I'm really scared to take my car to a dealer for anything in fear that they might laugh at me if I mention the word "warranty"...

In happier news, I did beat an Evo by about 2.5 cars from a 40-120 roll on Rt130 coming out of Greensburg a little while ago. I'm saying that is compliments of Dan's tune. Car is running like a champ now...

Color? 8/9? I pretty much either know or know of all the Evos in the Greensburg area...

GM stg. 2? Skip it and go straight to a 2.8/60's and a dan.spec tune

sounds easy enough, but i'm still new to the game. i could use a list of all items needed along with approx cost and supporting mods that should be done to keep the car from blowin up. how much does he charge for a tune?

You would have to get in touch with Dan as for cost of tune. But as for stuff needed, you could get away with a 2.8, 60's, stg 2 serp belt - supporting mods should be intake and exhaust. Meth if you want cooler intake temps. As for costs, ive been away from the cobalt aftermarket for about a year now so im not sure....

I had a GM stg 2 when i had my cobalt. Its good at first but leaves much to be desired in the long run. The 2.8/2.7 guys make good power without huge stress on the supercharger or super hot intake temps.

It was silver. I'm not 100% up on my Evo generations but I'm pretty sure it was the newest before the X, so a 9. I'd say about a 2005 or 2006. It looked really similar to yours. My GF graduated HS with the kid. He lives in Penn-Trafford and is about 20 or 21 at most.

Well when Dan tuned my car he was saying that his tunes with a 2.7/2.8 with 60's on a stock exhaust with a punched out cat were making about 250-260. I'd imagine with a full exhaust and some other supporting mods, you could see 270ish..?

Uhhh, I have about $2600 into the car now... Like $200 of that is my projectors and HIDs. About $500 and some change is gauges. There is some random stuff in there too... The actual performance mods, supporting mods, and tuning comes to about $1900 or soo. I just kinda did things kinda slowly in some weird ass order, and I have that stuff now.

I'm sure if you absolutely shopped around a ton and found great deals or package deals you might be able to cheapen what I've done down more.

About the only other thing I might do is to pulley down to 2.7" and finish off the exhaust with a catback... Soo that will be about another $550 or soo. Then I gotta get back to the track... If I can't break into the 13's spending like $3200 then I might just about ****** cry...

yeah i've been trying to keep a close eye on GBs and the classifieds and trying to piece together the puzzle. i could always get what i can now until i have what i need and then slap everything on at once.

Ingalls = junk. I wouldnt waste my time. I looked at them a few years ago after i bought my SS/SC and people were panning them hard. Maybe they have changed. IDK.

Fresh - i dont think you would need mounts at this point...spend money on go fast@r parts first. You have I/E you can jump right into the 2.8 setup. The tune, pulley, belt and injectors should be well below 1000 i would think.

Tazmanian_Dvl - as for how much power, you have to be open minded and also remember that dynoing is a tool blah blah blah. Im sure youve heard it before. I can tell you that when a few of us went to dyno, i did 230whp with a GM S2 and an intake. Jon (blue redline) did 265whp (i think) on a 2.62, intake, cobra HE, and dan.spec with a faulty IC pump. Dan was still running a 2.5 at that time but was having meth issues so his numbers were not on target. This was all on a dynojet. So take that all for what its worth.

csementuh - sounds like a 9 if it looks like the front end of my pic. Maybe he was just passing through this way if he is from the PT area. The only other silver 9 out this way is a guy named Jeff. He has black wheels and would be easy to spot. You should come out to Irwin some time, you are close.

^^^^ Yea I'm pretty sure it looked like yours. The kid lives right by me in PT. He was coming home from Westmoreland Mall as I followed him leisurely down 30 into Jtown. Like I said my GF knows him from HS. She said he had that car when he graduated, soo that makes me think it's an 06'. Either way I was just happy to conquer the roll on. From a dig I'm sure it would be another story.

As far as Irwin is concerned, I'm in Irwin all the time. I live like a mile from Harrison City. If you are referring to the Norwin Hills car show, I do go occasionally. Everytime I have asked people to go on here, nobody ends up responding, so I don't go. Soo let me know if you people want to get together sometime. I would like a ride in an Evo sometime...

As far as Fresh's mods, I do agree mostly however I did the traction mods first... My first mod was airbox mod with cone filter. Then I got an Ingalls and Prothane Tranny Mounts. They made the shifts feel 1,000,000 X better! I have never had a problem with my Ingalls on the hardest setting. I would however sell my Ingalls in a minute to buy a solid motor mount, but I don't know who would buy it.

I already have the CAI, exhust, ETD, and the gauges. The only other things I would like to to to my car is Stage 2 (or equililent), Exedy clutch, CX Racing H/E, Opt B, and coilovers...

I am really liking my header and DP from Clear Image. I didn't choose stainless, but I painted it and it is holding up perfectly. The stainless should be very nice. I wouldn't mind hearing that setup sometime since you have a catback also.

call me a noob if you want, still learning. anyhow, what all do i need from intense?

http://www.intense-racing.com/Mercha...u1=LSJ_Pulleys

just trying not to buy the wrong stuff or too much.
My guess is:
LSJ Eaton M62 Pulley System or just the pulley?
Doubt i need the install kit..i'm sure someone here would be able to help with that? if not i'll buy.
Stage 2 belt obviously
Anything else that I'm missing?

since my sc is stock and 6500 rpm limiter i think i will go witht he 42.5# injectors and one step colder plugs as recommended by intense.
