haha I remember those lights. We were down at 1st Try and you popped them on. From what I remember, they even had a remote control - right? haha

What actually happened and what part broke?

 

This is how it unfolded.

-I heard a rattle from the timing chain
-Took it to Star and they said the tensioner broke and was dangling
-The force from the chain stripped the threads from the head
-They ordered a brand new head and moved the whole valvetrain
-I added the parts up(GM direct) and it totaled 1200$
-Two weeks later I received my car back in the following condition
-It was missing a screw from the plug cover
-A random bolt was dangling from a hole in the subframe
-Oil was leaking from the timing side of the motor
-Took the car back 2 or 3 weeks later which was spewing oil onto the belt and then spraying my entire engine bay.
-The story this time was my oil pump locked up and the crank and bearings are toast
-I'm guessing they didn't install the crank pulley properly and didn't line up the keyway and it wasn't fully seated and it loosened over time
-So you think I would get a new engine but they are rebuilding it, new crank and all
-Now thats being cost effective

16 inch rims and 245/50/16 tires will fit on SSSC no problems the rims actually have multiple bolt patterns ie has 10 holes 5x110 and 5x115-120 i believe will have to look at discount tire they are MB -five x hardly used look at the parts for sale section for all details asking $350 is negotiable esp w local buyer costed total 550 not including mounting shipping balancing taxes etc

 

if we're all in pittsburgh, lets meet up, it's nice out and im sick of seeing ss's all over and not knowing anyone

 

lol there was quite a mixed bag last night.... 95 Saturn, 2 Redlines, 09 Mustang GT plus whatever was up there like Mac in his 300C SRT8
