There are only a few in the area that are into drag racing. All the others actually use the car what it was meant for. But those Evos that do like to run the straight line dont run 12's or high 11's. Your best bet would be a guy named Canexican. He has a silver IX MR still on the stock turbo, but everything else is upgraded and he is on E. You are still lookin at mid 11's at 120+ mph though.... EvoIan might run, he is an 8 on a ported/polished 9 turbo all other bolt ons plus E. But he too is low to mid 11's at 120's.

I originally thought you wanted to run in your Camaro. There are only 4 Evos in this area that are at that level. Dan, Garrett, Curt B and a guy with a Yellow 8 whos name escapes my mind right now. But they are all EZ low 10's and Curt is probably the slowest of the bunch at almost 140mph.

Frew - i know you are getting mixed reviews over on Evom, but you need to try to hold out for an unmolested, or at the very least, an extremely lightly modded Evo. All bets are off if you buy a modded one. The tune in it could have been so F'd and then put back to stock. You dont know what the inside of that engine looks like at that point. Look for a 9, settle for an 8 if you must.

I will run the Regal for ***** and giggles. I highly doubt the slicks will hook in this weather on street, though.

Trying to have some fun before it goes to slow winter trim.

Honestly, I can't pass up an 8 with 35k on the clock with near 10k in parts on it, evos are like any car, my car was on 100% ported head small pulley, etc, etc. I bet if you look under my hood now you would be like this thing looks stock, generally people zrent going to leave 10k in parts on a car, cause your not gonna get the value of the car with the parts, so they part out znd return to stock, so I could buy a bone stock 9 that has in its life had 280 cams, an fp black, and been on e. I dunno. If you noticed but there are no stock or lightly modded 9s trust me I have looked, there are a few dealers around that have some, they also want somewhere between 26-28 grand for them. **** ill pay 17, blow up theengine and tranny use the ten k I saved and buy a built bushur block and trans and beat the **** outta it.

Whoa. Hold up a minute. I've had 2 Evo's now. Im just trying to help. I bought my 9 used with 3000 miles on it and still a full (transparent) warranty. I was extemely lucky that i bought one that was not flagged and had the warranty voided. By 4000 miles i had to have the syncros on 1,2,3 and R replaced as well as the input shaft due to a Mitsubishi defect. For a stock unit alone i was looking at about 3000. For a rebuilt one from Shep or TRE was still 2700 or so.

An 8 with 35K miles on it is rough man. If you are lucky only 25K of those were HARD miles. EVERYONE drives these cars hard and puts them away wet. My X only had 6800 miles on it when i traded it in and probably 5000 of those were hard miles. Do you really want that on a modded car?

Sure you could save that 10G and put it into the car when it breaks. But you better do some research first. Ask Boosted about how much money both Dan and Garrett have in their cars to safely run the kind of power that you want to run. Its no where close to 10G. Its probably more than double.

I'm telling you man, dont buy the first thing that tickles your *****. Build your car, dont buy it. You are only buying someone elses problems. A stock IX will be the hardest model to find, but its worth it when you do. I know you dont wanna hear this but you will sink a TON of money into this car if there is even one thing wrong with it. Nothing on this car is cheap.

I understand that, you misunderstood what I was saying, I was trying to be rude or mean, I am happy to hear you opinion on the matter, I understand that buying a modded car is a gamble, but with cars that can be modified they are all a gamble, when you buy them used, my car has see 40k miles of hard driving, but if someone was to look at it right now, it looks like the next stage 2 ss.

But if it has a Red on it then the ECU would have been changed.... Unless the previous owner was a real moron, then everything i said above would still apply...
