Pittsburgh Crew < You
It sounds like you have quite a decision to make. Thats something you have to live with for a while. I would right down all the pros and cons of both jobs.
Hours
Pay
Health Benifits
Retirement Benifits
What you enjoy doing more
Driving time & traffic
Stress
I'm sure there is more then that.

I have to look around at the benefits packages at both. That's where hours can be both a plus and a minus. I'd be full-time at one job (most benefits for less money) but part time at the the other job (costs more to have the same benefits). Pay would be at least the same, if not slightly more at this job I just got offered. We'll see. I have to give them my decision by Friday.
Dilemmas dilemmas.
OK, so as I posted a while back, I was given an official full-time job offer pending grant approval at my other job. It'd be good money, I like my boss, the name looks good on a resume (Thomas Starzl Transplantation Institute/University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing). The downside is, it's not full-time YET and if the grant is not approved then I have no job. (She'll more than likely get the grant though.)
So thought I had things figured out....then I went to my other job today. THEY offered me a part-time job with more hours (30/week). Here's the catch, my boss pretty much said "Name your price, we'll pay you whatever." He said they'll match what the other job would pay full time, with 10 less hours.
I like both jobs about equally, I like the people I work with and work for at both jobs. I guess it's time to go home and see what the outside benefits are at both. I know I'd have benefits/insurance at both jobs, but I don't know what else. LOL. I hate making decisions...
Any input/advice?

You will look back on this and realize that you are in a great position. These are good problems to have. I had the same experience. When i graduated this summer i had 3 offers immediately from temp positions. High pay, 9-5 hours and no commitment. By Aug. i had another 5 offers that were full time. I said yes to all of them initially because i didnt want to shoot myself in the foot and choose the wrong one. But i also had no problem telling each of them, after i took the offer, that i quit - even if i hadnt yet started. Basically it came down to this for me:
Money
Distance traveled to work
Benifits
Room to grow (both money and status)
Do not bank on things that havent happened yet. The company you know may or may not get that grant. Think worst case scenario. If they dont get it and you go with them, then what? Also, when you look at benifits, try to add up their monetary value and figure that is about what you would be paying per year if you had to buy your own benifits. My package here would cost me about 13,000 a year if i paid for it myself.
P.S. if there is any chance of hot girl activity - ****** (no pun) that job right away!
Hehehe, yeah, I definitely LIKE this position rather than the one I was in a year ago when I quit at Target.
There will be heavy researching done tonight on benefits and whatnot. There are perks to each, and downsides to each.
As for grants, ALL the work I do is grant-funded, so I've got the same risks no matter where I go. This one just seems more established though, the projects been going on since the mid 80s.

When it all comes down to it - its important that you make yourself happy with your situation. Listening to us will give advice and ideas but im sure each of us would do something different with each situation. Good Luck!
Yeah, that's why I posted, to get different POV's on things. It's definitely a tough decision and there's still the possibility that I can work this one part time and the other one part time for a total of one full-time job for a while.
I don't know. He probably used it over the weekend and just left the keys in his car. Didn't realize I would need the truck. Probably thought I would still be driving your car around from the other day, lol.
LOL, that look had to have been great. He probably recognized it from when we took the winter wheels down to get put on your car at the body shop. Either that or he thought it was Al's. Should just tell them you got sick of yours being broken so you just bought a spare...
He just thinks its funny that I can pull Cobalt SS/SC's out of my ass when I need too.
It was just funny cause he asked which one you driving, I just said I got myself that blue one now too.

Okay, I should be ok. I'm sure when we start tearing down the motor, there is gonna be about 4-5 SS's parked outside.
I think I am finally set with explaining this to my parents when my motor is not in the car and in my dads parking spot. He thinks its a blown head gasket. I will just tell him we went to fix it and found a nuked piston. Gotta do what we gotta do. My mom has no idea and doesn't understand why I have no warranty but she just says I'm an *******. So I think I'm good.

But knowing you you went the harder route and told her you don't have a warranty, LOL.
Well, the parts are small enough where I can say, "Oh, these were just a couple bucks at the part store." Except for the header. They thought I bought a refrigerator when my Vibrant came in. One piece exhaust = long big box.
