Does anyone have or know some one who has an obd2 tool that will read cam retardation? I changed the distributor on my 98 Tahoe and was told these scanners are the only way to get the timing right to get the code to go away

 

I'm by no means of an expert but I've never heard that in my life? By using a scanner it could clear a code but it wouldn't pit the car in time. I feel if it was in time there would be no code or another issue. Could be wrong though

 

With the higher end scanners you can see the parameters of things like the cam retardation and I can adjust the timing to be exact

Colussey in Bridgeville. It was high-milage though (all highway, I commute to GroveCity for work, up I79).

 

How's everyone enjoying this snow? Luckily they are saying this weekend should be really nice. Can't wait to clean the cobaltup and make her look good. Anyone else cleaning there car up this weekend or bringing it out of hibernation? Also I'm already coming up with ideas this summer for us with meets.
