My car hasn't been washed in almost a year so I can't talk about that part.

Probably some young kid that doesn't realize that The Fast and Furious wasn't a documentary.

Already tried... Sadly I switched to Erie Insurance a day before the storm and got a $500deductable on comp/collision. I did get a much better deal on the car and homeowners coverage though, so I guess I can't complain toooo much. I think a paintless dent repair place could possibly help, but It's not too noticable, so I won't worry about it a ton.

Meh. It's a daily, it's going to get dirty. I do tend to wash it more when summer comes around. Winter it gets the occasional ride through the touchless to get the salt off.

It's in dire need of an engine bay detail. Freakin dirty ass oil all over the place. But I guess it evens out, since I had to ditch my hood strut, it's not like I can have the hood propped open at car cruises or anything.

What I'd LIKE to do is claybar the outside, really detail the inside, and get the engine bay all shined up, but I'm way to ADHD to get all that done.

yeah its def been tough to wash a car lately no doubt.

i washed mine last weekend but i just took it somewhere, i didnt go all out like i do inthe summer. i do need to really get the interior and engine bay good though, look like theyve never been cleaned in ~54k miles haha.

why did you have to ditch ur hood strut?

I usually hit up Sheetz out in Moon for their touchless. Probably going to do that as a pre-wash since mine's so dirty. I don't know what it is about Oakland, but the slightest rain kicks up SO much crap from the road. That and blue shows dirt way worse than I thought it would.

I'm due for a good scrubbing inside the car. I try and treat my leather at least once a year before summer hits, but I missed last year. My engine bay hasn't been cleaned in about 5 years, and it shows LOL.

Had to ditch the hood strut because I put on a carbon fiber/fiberglass hood and the strut was pushing it up and actually causing it to distort, so it had to go . I miss my hood strut. That and the tether for the gas cap. The body shop broke mine when they were blending in the new paint.

thats cool. getgo has a decent enough touchless too, i go there sometimes. i took it up to jerry's in craberry 2 weekends ago, they didnt do too too bad of a job but it wasn't great imo. might just need a really good handwash when it gets warmer though.

now you definitely got me wantin to detail my interior/engine bay haha.

Also, anyone going out to NHSCC Event #1 this Sunday?

Would he do JUST an engine bay?

I actually like detailing my interior, it's the exterior and especially the engine bay that gets tedious for me.

Yea, actually. Could get him to do the engine bay and to buff / wax the exterior.

Yes, North Park, starts at 8:30, but I advise being their earlier. Its $25 to compete. I've never been up to that one before, but I'm going to run unless the weather is complete ****.

I'll find out about the detailing

ok good deal, thanks for the info. ******* me, instead of bothering you, i coulda just googled the info from the start, which i did just now and realized i need a helmet, so i won't be running (never did autox before). im gonna try to stop out and at least check things out though, weather pending of course.

think ill pick up a helmet over the coming weeks though so i can give this thing a shot. think its doable in a 2.4 auto?
