Pittsburgh Crew < You
Yeah. If I had it to do over again, I'd get the daily first and THEN mod the fun car. Although once Wes gets the Honda back on the road, I'll have the Cruiser to daily to work.
I got a nice fly-by from a new CTS-V yesterday though. He almost lost it though. 100+mph towards a solid traffic jam + wet roads = major pucker factor.

Nice! If I had the money I could absolutely condone dropping the $70k+ on the V. You could make yourself a very fun 800whp+ daily driver that gets looks, has class and style, and drives smooth.
Jeff... I will be curious to hear if you think that Bracebar helps.... I've been pondering one for my car with all teh autoX and track days I want to do...
I also wish someone else would want a supercharger install this spring, haha. Id give a good price to get to install another setup for someone.

Not far at all. Car is ready for it and I have everything sitting there waiting. I was gonna start tonight but got home too late. Tomorrow I will be painting the supercharger and putting a few things on.
If you have everything ready to go, you can do a supercharger install in under a day. It took us 2 days to do redcobalt07's last year because we had to go get additional hardware that was missing and make a couple wiring and injector harnesses.
Just remember the other stuff you need to do. Like a clutch. I dont think the Stock NA clutches can handle a Supercharger. Or at least thats what I have always been told (someone please correct me if i am wrong)
Best bet is to go Stage 2 clutch + flywheel. That's what my plans were before the first engine blew up and I scrapped my Forced Induction plans.
But yea, if you one of the all inclusive supercharger kits they sell, I seriously think 8 hours wheels up to down. obviously changing a clutch takes a hell of a lot longer since you have to separate the engine and trans, and might be best left to a shop since they could have it on a lift, and wouldnt necessarily have to yank the engine out to do it.....

Mmmhm.
Bleh. I want something to work on. Debating if I wanna rip apart my blown L61 and change out the spun bearings in it. I almost feel like with 118,000 I aught to change more parts than I want to. Dunno if I wanna spend the money to build an engine for a Cobalt, heh.

Royce when it comes to the clutch on the 2.2 F23 trans, my stock clutch lasted about 3 days after being supercharged. When we pulled it out it was pretty much gone. I upgraded to a spec stage 2 rated to 340tq.
Did World Of Wheels show here in Pitt, and Tunerwar out in Harrisburg. Also wound up changing Radiators after my engine swap. So at least everything under the hood is new. Aside from that, just been looking the car over to get her ready for the Autocross season. Haven't had alot of time to mess with stuff this month, been too busy studying for college exams and my FAA Aviation Powerplant and Aircraft General mechanics licenses.
so your the 2.2l LAP like me? correct?
