Yeah.. these are taken RIGHT THERE... the person taking pics knows what they're looking at and can take better pics than a news person... ANyway....

I can't get into what was there ( or not there ) due to the sensitive nature of the issue, but I will say that I'd not be all that comfy walking into that place tomrorrow.

Now, if an inspector goes thru it and decides this was an isolated case, then NO PROBLEM.

From what I've gathered on it, this convention center is not very well built anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if they found some shotty worksmanship or defective materials.

Anyway, thanks to all that posted in the MRZ thread. They added big bore TB to their list.

From what I gathered at the time of the design phase, it's not a good DESIGN, let alone building quality. I have a friend who has a master's degree and does nothing but concrete engineering and he WILL NOT go near the Pgh convention center. To use his exact words "It's not a matter of IF it will end up in the river...it's WHEN."

Now, as for the auto show, they COULD have it in another section of the building. The first year it was there, they held it in only 2 phases of the building, could be done again.

I read the KDKA article. Indefinitely... but they said perhaps sometime this upcoming week (so like a delayed start).

Or they could move it to the Expo Mart if it's not booked.

Could, but I don't know that the Expo Mart could handle the auto show, it's MUCH smaller than the convention center. Plus on the site, it's pretty much booked the rest of the month.

I guess we'll see. If nothing else, there's always Cleveland, LOL.

I might be interested in the camera, but got too much car stuff coming in the next few months so money's going to be pretty damn tight we'll see. Have a portable printer and a PSP so don't need those.

Yeah, the original design of the CC was questoinable to start. I remember that before I moved to Texas that steel guys and the precast guys I know were not looking forward to it.

My uncle is a piledriver and he worked there and was itching to get far far away from it.

Yes... expomart would be like trying to put the cars in a local grocery store. LOL

"Scuse me sir, could you tell me where the flour is?"

"Why yes ma'am, you want to go to aisle 7, from here just go to the end of the aisle, make a left at the Mustang, go past the GTI and the EVO and make a left at the Fit. Can't miss it, it's right beside the Aveo if you get to the Solstice, you've gone too far."

That was drop dead funny!

If Cochran's old dealership was still there, they could've moved it there... that place was bigger than the Expo mart...

Wait... how about the mall!?

How about just diagonally parked along a main street. Then we can block off the side streets and say, "Find another way home pizza boy."

Damn Street racers!

I was watching that last night.

we will need one of those big-ass spotlights that they used as well.

That, and some ethnic stereotypes to have sitting along the road.

I think there is more of a chance of it being towed TO PRP this season.
