Talking to Cobalt Dan while I was watching Speed Channel. I know any of you guys with Comcast don't get Speed Channel, so I was thinking...

The Cobalt race in the Grand-Am Cup is going to be on this Saturday and I get Speed....anyone interested in a race party this weekend????

1) I have SpeedTV

2) I have it on a 61" Projection and 5.1 Surround.

If it's Sunday, I'll be around. I have plans for Saturday afternoon / evening.

 

This Saturday, 8-5. If you still don't have plans for Sunday I'll be at BeaveRun if you feel like coming up...

And BTW leave it to the boys to brag about the size of their *ahem* screen...

As a side note.....and non-cobalt related... but ME related....

Some of you know that I used to have an Olds 442... well I was just talking to my friend with the T/A at the cruise and said "I'd love to find my old car and have the chance to buy it back"

I was on the net today.... and BAM... there is is MY 442... not one like it... MINE...

I was shaking, and almost passed out.
MUST BUY CAR

Autocross and drag racing and mods might have to wait now... have to get a 2nd job to payback whoever I can talk into laoning me the money...lol

I'm hoping I can make it happen. As much as I enjoy this car and the whole Sport Compact thing... I miss a V8 ... I miss my 442...

 

Oh these don't even begin to compare to a classic... more power or not.

As a side-note...

I GOT MY CAR BACK!! It looks great, and man did it feel good to get back behind the wheel of my own car again! I told them not to put the emblems back on the trunk; I'm going to evaluate the 'clean' look for a while, might end-up getting the bowtie painted & put it back on.

I am up for anything. I actually would like to try autox with this car if you guys have plans for that too.

As far as teh 442 is concerned... I'm not going to be able to do it. I mean I CAN... if I went & got a loan, and I could swing the payment... but there's alot of other issues there.

I'm making myself sick about this... I was shaking when I saw it for sale.
