14.16 @ 106.94

Saw from my data logs I was losing .7 seconds on the 1-2 shift alone cause of my damned clutch/shifter cables!!!!!

Saturn is getting a call today

BTW.....

Hope you all were careful last night running home on 22.... I saw 4 cops on the higway... 2 driving.. and 2 sitting clocking between the track and Delmont.

Both were state troopers.

Awesome time yesterday Jon! I guess the 3.1" unleashed the beast so to speak. 14.2 is nothing to be ashamed of with the stock tune! Knock down that 60' to 2.1 or 2.0 and somebody will be seeing 13.xx

Dan - that sucks. I think you should be able to subtract the .7 sec from your time! You should claim the 13.4 you should have had (don't worry i wont tell )

Except for the clutch problem Dan had, I'd say it was a good day for the Rubbermaid racers

My first run i ran a 14.8 @ 99mph, 2nd run i ran a 14.54 @ 100, and my 3rd run i ran 14.54@98. Garbage runs compared to last time at the track when i ran my 14.2@ 101 and my 14.5 @103.5, those were good runs. Here are my slips.

Yeah, it looks like you had some traction issues with your 60' times. Are you still running your stock rubber?

I'm not trying to start ****, well yah kinda am but only because i have some flame crotch telling me how to drive when he dont even know what a CEL is. I never heard us pittsburghers rip on each other, we only give each other compliments and for this tool to say this, especially to me lol, i can accept construstive critisizm but not this ****. I guess that means dan should be running mid 13's, well he could if his clutch wasnt fucked up. AHHH im pissed

hahaha I have built in control These stupid '04 RLs lag so much in the low rpms. I PMed Dan today to see if we can load an '05 stock tune on the car until I get my pulley and injectors.

Wes - where did you get your interceptor? I ordered the damn thing from aeroforce tech last week and I don't even think it shipped yet. I gotta be able to monitor before I start doing crazy stuff under the hood. Still have tne snout machining tool?

I've got $500 leftover from my body work to spend... what do ya thing:

Mod Pulley System w/ 2.5" - $100
Oversize Pulley Tensioner - $20
60lb injectors - $220
Inj Harness - $50
Snout Machining tool if needed - $30

And start saving for a clutch

I dont know this guy but wtf??? I've never known anyone to be able to look under a hood and say 'you'll run a 13.67 tonight'. you just cant do that. look at the factors other than engine work/bolt ons. you have humidity, heat, altitude, track conditions, etc. what a tool.

btw what is a CEL?!?!?! j/k

I just sent the tool back 2 days ago, lol. Sorry. I was actually debating too just keep incase anyone else ever needed it, I should have. I bought my scan gauge from Intense when I bought all that other stuff. They were back ordered and it took about two weeks to get here from my order.

You might as well buy a wideband then just wire into the scan gauge cause those interceptors have two analog inputs so you can put everything in one gauge. That is what I plan on doing. The snout tool actually cost 75 up front, then you get the rest back after you ship it back.

Also, depending what you plan on doing in the future as far as water injection, you might want to look into the new Intense blower spacer kit. That will raise the blower up for less belt slack. If you do that, you may no longer need the tensioner pulley anymore. Although since your going down to a 2.5 you sill might have belt slack, not sure, ask Dan. Plus you can also tap into that spacer for spray or water injection.

I think the Intense 2.5 w/ hub is 130. Not sure what other companies charge.

never saw that spacer before on their website. Not a bad idea in case I ever think about water or alcohol injection. I'm not sure if anyone's tried it yet or the gains if they have. I may wait and do that later. I'll need a downpipe and exhaust probably right after the clutch goes

Wideband is on the list for sure. Probably the LM-1 running to the interceptor. I think i read that you can tap the LM1 into the o2 wire to the PCM also.

Yeah right now my priority purchase is a clutch. After that I guess a long tube 4-2-1 with a 3" exhaust. Vibrant FTW. I wouldn't worry about your clutch. I did a very bad/hard launch at the track. If I wouldn't have the clutch would still be holding fine. Even Dan said his stock clutch never slipped with his setup. Although a stage 4 clutch is probably just fun to drive, grab and go.

o yah it definatley is. im in the process of uping to the stage 5, im about to buy the 2.5" pulley. although i noticed alot of people are getting a 3" exhaust with the stage 5, kinda late for me i already have the corsa and i dont think i will have any problems once i get a header and downpipe

I dont think you'll have a problem either. The main restriction in the exhaust is in the downpipe. The outlet for the downpipe is only 2.1". I'd definitely do with a 2.5" dp to fit the corsa though. with the mods you have, you should be able to run 13's haha, but yeah, you'll get a couple hp from the dp.

Some people say 3" is overkill and your 2.5" should be fine. I am just getting the 3" so if I ever do something crazy to the car I won't have to get another exhaust. Pretty much to secure the future, lol.

You won't have problems with the 2.5" at all if that is what your worried about.

Luigi - what are HIS times??????

Point is, anyone can tell you what you can/should run on paper. But if that were the case, then what would the fun be in trying to get to the track?

Mechanical modifcations only give you the possibility of a faster 1/4 mile time...it's everything else that give you the ability to get a faster time.

Could part of it be driver? Absolutely....BUT even the best driver cannot overcome:

1) Traction
2) Clutch
3) Track Conditions
4) Atmospheric Conditions
5) ALLLLLLL the other extraneous factors that are too numerous to mention

I guess the short of what I was trying to say is: Who gives a **** what this guy says!!!! He has no credibility. No track times to indicate he's a professional in the realm of drag racing, NOTHING. If he is so good, then why isn't he at the track schooling everyone else on how to drive...just hope he doesn't throw a CEL and panic...
