I'm planning on going tonight. I actually washed the car today so I'll even park with the rest of you... that is, if you don't mind a lowly LT in the crowd...

Sounds like some people were jealous of my shiny wheels yesterday. LOL.

I actually washed my car, Dave's waxing it for me. I can only do one or the other. I have a bad back, so leaning down the get the bottom of the car (which usually needs the most TLC) = death for me. Don't be surprised if I don't do much walking around unless it magically gets better before then. I'm going to pop a couple of Advil and see if I can keep it from stiffning up.

 

Pop some pills. We ball hard.

 

I don't want to sit there drooling out the side of my mouth while in a hallucenogenic haze. Although that sounds fun too...

I think after it was all said and done with there were 6 cobalts lined up, then an SRT-4 and then another cobalt. Plus 3 others that were strolling around.

 

there was a red SS/SC with the RK Sport CF hood on it, and another Red SS/SC that drove past as well

Bad news... I can't make tomorrow now. Apparently there's a family gathering I didn't know about. I'll still go to see Cars in the evening... but I'm gonna have to miss the auto-x now.

At least I wasn't going to run afterall. I'd feel worse if I was actually planning on running and had to miss. This will also give me the chance to get that rear support bar before running again. Who knows... maybe even exhaust by then.

Anyway... good luck to Wes and George tomorrow. Sorry I'll miss it!

 

So whats what my car looked like after the J-Body battle.

 

Change of plans guys. Can't make the auto-x but I will be able to do whatever after 5pm. My dad was pissed that I didnt help with building the new pool yesterday and says I am helping today if I still want to live here, lol.

So no auto-x but I can still make Cars and what not. If you guys do anything after 5 or so, just give me a ring, What time are you planning on seeing cars?

I AM still going and getting ready to eat some breakfast now, and then get a shower. I'll be ready by 9:30, so I will be good to go, and the tank is filled as well.

MAN, that was a good turnout. Recruited another to the local region as well. Seeing as we NEVER seem to be able to get a gathering together...LOL

 

Hey All.

Well I got to see George run today. He seemed to have a good day. You'll have to ask him about how HE feels about it. Good to finally meet him as well. Finally put a face with the legend.

I'll post some pics from teh Auto-x / track day. There was an SS running in the NASA track event. Had some nice wheels and brakes, and an adjustable front suspension w/ a resivour and everything. Not to mention it had a CF front splitter that I've now decided must go on my car.

Anyway... I already talked to Dave to let him know but I won't be able to make the movie tonight. It's just too late for me. I'm usually going to bed when the opening credits will be rolling.

Have a great time, and don't spoil it for me... I WILL see it this week before Tokyo drift.

 

Glad you had a good time. Sorry Dave and I couldn't stay. We don't have $14 to blow right now. He doesn't start work for a week and with me getting 5 1/2 measly hours a week (barely $35 take home), money is tight for a few weeks.

I would have liked to have seen the track-prepared SS. That's not just a splitter, I think that's the brake vents. I want those, did you get to talk to them and see how much they cost/where they got it from. I would also like to know what's involved in getting the ring to give us the 4.45 final drive ratio from the GAC cars.

DAMN IT. I hate being broke.

 

Well, if tht was the ONLY thing keeping you from staying, you should've said something. I would've gladly covered the fee. Not like I have anything to spend my cash on. I had plenty with me.

I'd rather have paid it, and had you guys there, then not. But that's water under the bridge.

Yeah, the CF "splitter" was in lieu of our bottom lip piece. I'll post pics tomorrow at work and you can see what I mean. At least I THINK I took pics of that part of it.

They seemed busy getting the car ready to go, so I didn't bug them. The driver saw me standing at gawking, and said "it's ok man, you can get close and take a good look" Then he went into his trailer. He had a few crew members going nuts on it. From what I heard, the car won it's 1st race.

Talk more soon.... bed is calling, adn I didn't get nearly the work I wanted to get done!!

Woot, got pulled over twice today! Both within 10 minutes of each other too. Going to to 30 for you guys is starting to cost me, lol.

 

that sucks Wes......getting pulled over once is bad enough......geez. I'm sorry, but 55 on the parkway is impossible, I'm sure that a lot of people will agree with me.

Me and Alicia got bored today, so we took some pics of the cars while they are freshly cleaned and waxed.

 

Are those all at the bank parking lot? Some good looking pics, we need to get a huge meet this week with atleast 10+ ss's and get some nice pics/videos.

BTW I orderd a V1 with overnight shipping so I will be able to give you a full review as I fly down the parkway again.
