I would say that not having that oversized tensioner pulley was the problem as well. Good to hear that everything else worked out good though. Keep us updated with when you go back with the tensioner pulley on!

 

So how did the meet go??

 

There wasn't much of a meet today really. Just me, cavy-to-ss, and damien. Cavy-to-ss got dyno tuned and I went up with him to check on my car. Met damien there as well to talk with. The big Dyno Day meet is coming up soon though, Feb. 25th. You coming out?

 

Yea I want to. After my tune on wensday I fixed 2 big problems I found after the tune which must have hurt my tune. 1 2.6 pulley slipping after 6000rpms and 2 the morning of my tune I rushed to install my 60lb injectors and must have bent the aluminum fuel line to the rail enough to cause a small pressure leak which I fixed today with teflon tape. Becareful when removing the rail. What kind of numbers did you guys make?

 

Oh wow man, sounds like those two things would definatly have an effect on the numbers you put down. When are you going back to get tuned? cavy-to-ss ended up putting down around 250 whp I think it was with the 2.8", GM Stage 2, and GMPP Exhaust. My car won't get on the dyno until Wednesday, which is when I will be picking it up. Can't wait!

Sounds good, as of right now it looks like Wednesday night between 6:30 and 8:00, gotta work during the day so I'll have to wait a little longer . I'll let you know Wednesday morning definatly. I think Andy may be bring me up to get my car as well.

Nice! You should end up with about 17-18 psi. Might be higher since its so dam cold out. cavy-to-ss thought he would get a chance to test out his car yesterday too, but just about every state trooper possible must have got called into work yesterday, we saw about 5 people pulled over, not worth risking it.

Matt was saying something about free updates? What dose he mean by updates? I forgot to ask him.

 

I could just picture that, being pulled over about 5 minutes after just getting the car back.

He probably is referring to the fact that say you have a 2.8 pulley now and drop down to a 2.6, he will update your tune for free, you just have to pay for the dyno time.

 

I see about 17 PSI now, even with my exhaust. BTW how does it sound?

Yea the tip is huge!!! Looks like a damn STI exhaust but i love the way it sounds!

Do you feel any difference in the way your car performs now with the tune or anything?

 

Thats exactly what I thought when I saw it. Sounds real nice though, nice and deep. It is pretty loud, but not to the point of being obnoxious or anything like that. Good choice.

 

felt alittle difference, nothing really major..i do however get no more wheel hop...i think you only notice something if you go smaller pulley...iv been used to this setup for awhile

 

Just saw the weather forecast, not good. It sounds like the roads are going to be pretty wet/icy . Won't effect me being able to pick it up, but I might not be able to "have fun" with it and see its new performance capabilities . Oh well, I'll just have to wait and see.

 

im not sure if this will be worth going to. i hit 13psi at 5200 rpm. ....it sucks lol. i am trying to get some money up so i can get the smaller exhaust housing.
