There are 2.9" pullies available that fit the GMS2 hub.

And I would do both cooling and the smaller pulley. Best of both worlds...

no kidding.... thanks for the info man. i'm going to agree with Edubs then.... go to the 2.9 & cooling mods. unless you want to buy my 60s for $150, and then you can get a 2.8..... just make sure you get cooling mods.

2.9 will do just fine w/ all the cooling mods (H/E, Secondary Reservoir, Methanol Inj). He can pick the pulley up from Nate Herbst(?). I'll have to look up Nate's member name on here, but he sells aftermarket pullies to fit all hubs.

Yoink...

the hub I have is from Nate actually, I bought all of the parts seperately because it was way cheaper. Now if I decide to go with a 2.9 pulley and 42's, would it be safe to run for maybe a couple of weeks before I can do a heat exchanger? I just don't have the time/$$ to do it before the Tune Time meet.

haha either way, can someone help me do a heat exchanger? it scares me haha

also, I have a 3" pulley with 42# injectors, anyone think I should go down to a 2.9"? I know that's the lowest you can go before 60# and I don't feel like buying new injectors. opinions on the difference one pound of boost makes?
Careful, Matt maxed out my 42s on a Stage II pulley @ 7000rpm... He actually talked me out of the 2.9"

ANYWHO.... I have a 2.9" on the s2 tune as you know. That's definitely the lowest pulley you can do with 42s and it's pushing it. And typically "1psi" = MAYBE 5whp, if that. All depends on your set up and also a lot on where you run your car (colder outside temps = better for our cars)

Oh, and I'm boosting +/-17psi if that's what Jimmy was trying to say haha

If you need a Nate's 2.9 I have one brand new never touched.... After I bought it, I decided I wanted to go with 60's and a 2.8 or 2.7..... so just incase you wanted the 2.9, I can sell you my brand new 1 for $40 and bring it down to the dyno day....

i am sooooo looking forward to this. i'm planning on having a bunch of stuff done to my car before then. and once i get up there i'll spend about an hour in the parking lot installing parts myself. i'll just need them to pop off the stock pulley and press on the ZZP hub i got.
