WNY tuning
So I was talking to Mike at Innovative Tuning about possibly being able to tune a bunch of our cars. He said that at the moment there isn't enough interest for him to do it, but that if I could get a bunch of people in on it he would consider it. He's one of the best in the area and I would DEFINATELY have my car tuned by him. He's used HPTuners with other cars, so he knows the software. If people don't know who he is you can check his shops website out http://www.innovativetuning.com/ (Im not trying to advertise here, just trying to get more people to go in on this so it's cheaper for everyone, including myself) So if your interested please send him an email so he can pick up the software for the shop, it would be great for everyone in the area with a cobalt.
His shop is actually located in Buffalo, New York. I figured if I posted up in the local area forum that I could find more people to go in on this. I can't believe only 1 reply so far......
I wouldnt mind getting a few pulls on the dyno . As far as tuning goes , i'm trying to keep my warranty so i will have to pass . If there is a way to tweek the stage tunes without GM knowing i'd be all for that . I'm pretty sure GM can tell when the PCM/ECM has been updated or changed thou. A dyno day would be cool .
he could probably just reload the Gm tune.....im pretty sure you can save the tunes....like Ive said if your interested send him an email about it so he knows the interest is there.....

I'll throw him an email , i didnt look but im sure the addy is on the site somewhere . I'm wondering if we should wait for a few more peeps to post and then email him a link to this thread . Ruk
After pestering him myself I asked him what he would want to actually do this.....and this is what he sent me back.....
The software through him is $649+shipping and then tune time which he said would be around $225-300, that's if like one person just did it.....
If I could get 2 more people(3 total cobalts) it would just be $500 straight up for a complete tune
If I could get 5 total cobalts it would be $450 a person, then he proceded to just say that like he would need a deposit of half from everyone and then we could schedule the tune to meet our own personal needs(like a day and time which doesn't have to have EVERYONE at once) and then pay the rest when you actually go for tuning.
It seems kind of high, but I have no idea what anyone else charges around here and like Ive said before he's a DAMN GOOD tuner, and Im more than willing to pay for one of his tunes. Plus Im pretty sure that if anyone of the people came back to him for repeat tunes that his prices would be pretty reasonable. let me know what you think.
well so far Im in on this....I think there are 2 other people interested as well.....if we can get 2 more people to commit to it that would be the best possible pricing available he can offer. The reason for the $650 price for the software is that it allows for tuning through wideband, figured I'd throw that out there since im asking questions myself.
