08-09 ss/tc turbo swap
As many of you know my car is currently doing 400+whp. Boostking is going to be putting car back to stock so I can run in the 09 mx racing season. with that said here is what I have (all pics are in my build thread and at dejon's website)
PTE 5457rb turbo swap with intake that has recirc. adaptor and hose SOLD
info from dejon:
Precision Turbo & Engine (Garrett) Ball Bearing, Water-Cooled Turbo Kit
This is the COMPLETE kit of everything you need (except for boost controller, BOV and any options) to install a ball bearing, water cooled Garrett turbo (assembled by Precision Turbo and Engine on your Cobalt SS or HHR SS. It includes a ported and rotated turbo fitted with a Garrett high boost wastegate actuator, water lines, oil lines, Oxygen Sensor Housing, Manifold Adapter & gasket and Compressor Outlet Elbow. You will also need upper IC pipes (see IC pipes page UIP-CBTA & B), Blow Off Valve (see BOV page), and an Intake Pipe made to fit this turbo (see Intake Pipe page).
cost new is $2072.00
your cost is $1500.00 (less than 2k miles on kit)
Intercooler kit with hks black bov and adaptor no longer for sale
info from dejon:
Replace your factory intercooler (with its crimped plastic end tanks) with our direct replacement fully welded IC which will handle any turbo or boost you'll ever want. The core is a 8"high x 3.5"thk x 24"long bar&plate design and has about 225% the flow capacity of stock. Yet it fits exactly like stock, bolting up to the stock mounts, with outlet tubes going to the stock locations. The inlet and outlet tubes are 2.5" aluminum and we supply couplers and clamps. Your stock or upgraded piping will fit.
Installation: No special skills or tools are required, but it takes about 2 hours. Remove the black plastic IC covers under the car (a forked pry tool will ease removal of the plastic push fasteners), bumper cover (nose) and IC shroud. Loosen the hanger brackets and piping couplers. (You may need to loosen the air dam). Drop the factory IC out. Install the new IC. Step by step instructions can be found in the shop manuals but are beyond the scope of this text.
Includes the Intercooler above and all the pipes as shown in the pictures at left. Factory pipes are plastic and flatten out in places to restrict air flow. All our pipes are made from 2 1/2"mandrel bent 16ga aluminum tubing or 18ga Steel, except the turbo outlet elbow which is steel only. The turbo outlet elbow and hot pipes shown in red are power-coated in the exterior car color of your choice. If you choose the polished (extra cost) option, we power-coat the elbow and vertical pipe in almost chrome, but polish the upper hot pipe to a brilliant shine. We can weld a flange for your favorite aftermarket Blow-Off-Valve as an option and sell many leading brands on our BOV page. Intake pipe is not included. Save $64 on combo vs individual parts.
cost new is $1109.00
your cost is $675.00 (will need diff elbow for stock turbo, can be bought from dejon)
3in downpipe w/cutout (uncatted and is steal) SOLD
cost new is $229.00
your cost is $140.00
Brand NEW Spec stage 3+ w/flywheel still in box with all info will be installing into veh. by end of month if no one wants itcost new is $1184.00

PM sent about the downpipe. What brand is it? I thought at first it was a Dejon, but they don't show one on their website.
Seriously thinking about the IC and piping too. Looks like the piping is red from the pics I found.
EDIT: Ok, I found a post in your build thread where you said the car now has the Dejon 3" downpipe with dump. Consider the downpipe sold. I'll send another PM.

I want the clutch! Can you hold it for me until after April 5th. I've got a bunch Marine Corps crap to do till then. I'll have the money then.
And just to clarify, it'll fit either SC or TC models, correct? I'm pretty sure they do.
Nope... nevermind... different part numbers
