I am looking for the stock mp3 head unit I have an 07 was told from the dealership that an 05-06 will not work in my car! So anybody got one they want to get rid of?

Jus curious but why will it not work in your car? I was actually looking at getting a h/u from an 07 because I think there slick, but If it wont fit that sucks.

 

i'm looking into getting an aftermarket.... how much are you looking to spend?

 

I dunno. I just wanted the 07. I was willing to pay retail, but if it dont work I dont want to waste my money

 

They will, but it's far from plug and play.. The 07 h/u technically will work, but the wiring harness is different... you need to re-pin the harness to get the 07 to work on your 05 or 06. It has been done, so it's possible, but from what I have read, the player will work perfect but a lot of the functions will still not work...

Check the HHR forums, the 07 Cobalt H/U is the same as the 06/07 HHR.

 

my understanding is the faceplate is not curved in the HHR h/u and it is not pinned the same in the connector
