I bought the Exedy for my Ion today. I blew my engine and figured I might as well replace it while the engine's out.

I bought the exedy clutch from THMotorSports... Awesome deal. I personally did tons of research on clutchs when I was looking for one and I honestly found that the exedy clutch is the most expensive... HOWEVER the only clutch that has ZERO negatives and zero bad feedback.

I had the exedy clutch installed yesterday and the only draw back I found so far is the slave cylinder that comes with the kit didnt fit my tranny. Still havent driven it yet though....

These clutches come with a slave cylinder too? I have never heard of a clutch kit having that, only the disk, pressure plate and throwout bearing are usually included. Why wouldnt it fit?

This is kind of subject, but I have a clutch related question. I heard that when you by a clutch and lightened flywheel that when the clutch wears out that the flywheel will probbaly be trash true. This is what my buddy who manages a transmission shop told me, is there any truth to this? He said it is better to just stay with a stock flywheel.

Well that is somewhat true... but the thing is that no matter what clutch you have once it wears out you will definately need to have the flywheel turned anyways and flywheels are actually pretty cheap considering the price of clutches. And a stock flywheel is not worth it when you put in a performance clutch...because they are so heavy and there is so much more power to be gained by a lightweight flywheel. Just remember stock SUCKS *****......especially with the cobalt clutches. Hope this helps you.
